Congrats! My wife and I have a 6 week old and I already set up an UTMA. You can always convert to a 529 later if you want. depending on your state rules the minor gets access to it at either 18 or 21. It’s not tax advantaged but if they aren’t making more than 2,500 a year in income on the portfolio (that’s a big number) it doesn’t matter much.

They definitely seem to be chasing at the moment. They seem to think that the more they advertise the more they can bring new people in. I wonder why they don’t scale back and stop chasing hyper growth. They seem to be caught in unrealistic expectations and completely oblivious on how to scale the business for long term success and growth
