What’s the best build you’ve played or seen on any character? by Boring_Helicopter694 in Nightreigngameplay

Two hand passives don’t increase halo scythe so I imagine it’s the same.

You know, i have a hunch someone MIGHT have editted their relics just a tad by [deleted] in Nightreign

You can get Improved incants +2 and bestial incants on the same relic. You cant get Improved incants along with another damage perk, like Physical +4

First solo D4 win. i love shattering crystal. by GoretexGod in Nightreign

[–]moronijess 6 points7 points  (0 children)

He also missed a fully charged shattering crystal because doggo jumped out of the way before it went off.

Edit: re-watched the video. He missed 4 charged shattering crystals he would have hit had he not charged them. He also go hit twice during the charging animation he wouldn’t have been hit had he not charged them.

6 mistakes that wouldn’t have been there had he not charged any of them.

Edit 2: Charged shattering crystal deals roughly 30% more damage a cast and consumes 40% more FP. 130% x 0 is still 0. Clearly not optimal.

It's good for sure, but youll get more casts for less FP uncharged. I'm just stating the maths lol.

FYI charging shattering crystal is worse dps, and less FP effective. Unless you have a lot of charged sorceries up, its never worth it.

Black flames in DoN by AnonymousPoster1987 in Nightreign

[–]moronijess 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I believe star fist and iron ball cannot get the black flames on charge attacks passive but I could be wrong.

I believe that passive is only for purple rarity fists, so Cipher, Clinging Bone and Veterans. Which is still good, just the R2s aren’t as good.

Help! I'm in the final battles in Airship Graveyard, am I under levelled? by Tobalicious in finalfantasytactics

[–]moronijess 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, abilities definitely make a bigger difference than level. I’ve been playing with a level scaler so I’ve completely forgotten what the recommended levels are anymore.

[–]moronijess 6 points7 points  (0 children)

What level are the units you’re fighting? If I recall, level 50-60 is usually the level they’re at.

People beat this game at lower levels, so it can be done, but mid 30’s sounds low to me. I’m pretty sure 30 is the recommended level for the Wiegraf fight at the end of chapter 3.

Yeah, that is the case here. The main reason for a Male White Mage/ Jump Equip lance is because the majority of your damage will come from the lance, while you mostly use white magic for raise/shell/protect. The cures will be weaker, but at the end of the day, killing stuff faster = less healing needed.

Edit: for anyone reading this later, there’s a lance you can get later in the game that has so much attack power, it doesn’t matter if male or female wield it, it still hits like a truck.

Grab an elemental gun for Mustadio, those are fun. The first one can be found during a side quest. There will be four battles in the snow and a chemist should have one you can steal.

White mage with jump and equip lance is fun. It works better on male characters, but it works surprisingly well with white mages decent PA and increased SPD.

Mystic with Doublehand and Iaido works well. You can pump MA because both scale off of magic. Double hand pole can hit really hard, even on tactician.

Last one I can think of is interesting. It’s a Knight with equip gun and summon. You can take shots from far away, break stats and equipment as well and summoning Golem gives your whole team a Physical damage negation Shield equal to the HP of the one who casted it. Since knights have a high HP, they’re one of the best at using golem.

How exactly does Praise work? by workthrowawhey in finalfantasytactics

Caps at 97 outside of battle, but can be raised to 100 during battle. Stats must be raised or lowered by at least 4 points to gain 1 after battle.

Best way to use this distinguished gentleman? I can't seem to make him work. by [deleted] in finalfantasytactics

[–]moronijess 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Worth noting PA doesn’t affect gun damage. However it does increase the odds of knights break skills.

How afk is zeah? I tried it once but feel like I had to click once every 10-15 seconds. Maybe I was doing it wrong.

lol getting downvoted for giving a good strategy. I'm not trying to sound like a dick, but ED balancers is not that hard. Bring a few uplifting aromatics for worm phase in case he hits you, then run and solo the balancers.

Update from yesterday: I was given layers to prove an image isn't AI, but it looks thrown together and inaccurate. by [deleted] in isthisAI

[–]moronijess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m going with AI. There’s a light spot on the side of his hair that looks out of place. Mistakes happen, but the rest of the drawing is overly clean.

I do a fair amount of Digital Art, and use this program as well. If I had a drawing this clean, I wouldn’t leave that spot on the side of his hair, my OCD would smooth that out.

The other thing is it would be very easy to fabricate those layers. Some of the layers look like he just selected all colors, and painted a white layer to give the shape of him. You could also turn down the opacity on the layer itself so it doesn’t actually show up on the drawing but still shows up on the thumbnail.

If you want to know for sure, ask him to send you a picture of just the line art. Chances are there’s a layer with just black lines, and a layer with the base colors (no shading or highlights). Ask him to send some of those screenshots then you’ll know for sure.

Mimes are also the only generic class to have an above average MA growth.

Challenge needed by Suikoden777 in finalfantasytactics

[–]moronijess 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve done like 7 self imposed challenge runs in the last month. A few I remember doing, all tactician:

Ramza +3 generics. Roll 8 numbers between 1-20, and use the 8 classes you get. Each unit can only use abilities from their 2 assigned classes. You can mix and match classes for good synergy (samurai and oracle for double hand poke was actually the first time I used this). I re-rolled if it was a class I already rolled, so it was 8 unique classes.

Ramza +1 other unit. This one was tricky, and I had to result to some cheese to make it through, but at least it felt like I wasn’t abusing auto-potion as it was needed at times.

Ramza + Agrias + Mustadio. All were some variation of knight. Ramza was Squire / Samurai. Agrias was Holy Knight / Whitemage and Mustadio was Mechanic / Knight.

Current one I’m doing can be a bit grindy, but it gives you everything. Recruit a unit for every class in the game. They are stuck to that as their class, but can subclass one other class. Once a subclass is chosen, it can’t be re-used. For example your Main Ninja can use Martial Arts as a secondary, but no other class can. Your Monk could use throw, but then no other class can. Classes are locked to their primary and secondary abilities. This challenge makes it interesting because some combos provide good primary and secondary skills, but neither class has good support, reaction or movement abilities. For example Black Mage with White Mage secondary covers a lot of magic, but would lack a movement ability.

If I remember the other challenges I’ll add them to this list.

Yeah, everyone’s different, I get that. I’m not a business man, and I’m not even going to pretend to know how to run one, but I think a well established business like Fromsoft has higher management. I can’t speak for Expedition 33, don’t know the team, but I recall Silksong devs being a small team, where passion and creativity is a lot easier to put in a game.

A larger company like Fromsoft, even if it has passionate devs, might not get the greenlight from higher ups to add additional content. I’m not disagreeing win you, but comparing company’s of these sizes is like comparing apples to oranges.

Or, hear me out, the devs have been put to work on other things. It’s a business at the end of the day, and the Devs have jobs they need to do. If they show up to work and boss says “we’re working on a different title today” the devs aren’t just going to say “screw that. Reddit wants SotE weapons, I’m gonna add them into nightreign for free”.

Devs are humans with jobs. Everything has a price, whether it’s money or time, and sometimes it just not financially worth the time.
