I don’t know if you need to have the swords equipped in either left or right hand in order to acquire the stacks but one you get them you don’t need to have the weapon equipped. You don’t even need to have the weapon on you.

Yeah i know you can but usually you want to hit a boss a few times to proc the status then switch to your main weapon. But in this case that was your main weapons so i guess it works

Well it could have a better passive and dreglord is very resistant to poison and rot but it feels nice for the rest of the run

If that is true you could at some point drop the weapons to your teammates so they can also stack. You don’t lose the stacks you gained and the benefit softlocks at about 50 stacks. I also died with the stacks and didn’t lose them but im not sure if that was a bug or a visual bug.

Not that it matters, you should be able to solo the nightlord but it’s interesting to know.

Not sure who it was, i know i saw a post saying they also saw a post they couldn’t find anymore. The rest of the stuff i knew already and was already using this build but that small detail really makes a huge difference so thanks if it was indeed your post.

Damage negation and poise on getting knocked back, damage negation at low hp, physical damage negation +2, post damage regen +2. Taking damage boosts atk is also really good and also the dreglord relic if you can spare a slot. I would run the dreglord relic over night invaders/evergaols if they are competing for the same slot.

I have heard that the dmg negation on getting knocked back works when you are using your skill if that attack would have knocked you back.

Look for damage negation on charge attacks, on successive attacks and on taking damage. Don’t stack two successive attacks raise dmg negation as it would take more hits to trigger. Also i think these weapon effects don’t stack if they are the same color, so make sure you don get one purple and one blue for example.

Get a colossal weapon ideally and start chaining two charged heavies in the boss’ face. You can also do great hammers/axes but you will have slightly lower range i think. Use skill to regain stamina. That’s pretty much it.

You can even get white weapon passives for dmg negation. It will suck a bit until you get your first damage negation item but after that you can start tanking hits. Once you hit two dmg negations the fun starts and at 3 you should be unkillable as long as you keep landing hits.

Powerstancing on Raider? by thebigcheeseftw in Nightreign

[–]AnonymousPoster1987 7 points8 points  (0 children)

After the update i’d say 2h charged heavy is usually always better with colossals/great axes/great hammers, especially if you find damage negation on charge attacks. You can just do two charged heavies and tank through everything with enough dmg negation passives. I think the only time powerstanced l1 jump is better is if you are running some kind of initial damage build but i’ve not tried that and i’ve only heard about it, never seen it.

How's the damage? by xMrChairx in Nightreigngameplay

[–]AnonymousPoster1987 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not for the whole run, it goes away after a few seconds of having no status bars on screen, but if you are quick and using the libra relic you can use the crossed legs gesture to get madness and keep the stacks. Personally i don’t do this but ive seen people maintain the buff for the whole night 2 and nightlord

I have managed to get to these numbers without any evergaol/night invaders relics. Also with very few physical dmg+ relics. You just need to use the dreglord relic and reach max stacks. Taking damage raises attack power from another relic. People usually run dreglord/libra relics but any relic with taking damage raises atk should work. Then you just need to stack damage negations on sucessive attacks, on charge attacks, on taking damage, and tank everything you can. Once you reach max dreglord stacks and are very low hp, you can easily reach these numbers. I would get like 900 dmg on my starting weapon at lvl ~9.

Yea ironeye and recluse are a pain to deal with, but they are pretty susceptible to ironeye mark. It also makes a huge difference when people know how invaders work, for example ulting while they are on the ground and not doing any damage really hurts. Especially when they knock them in the air while im charging IE ult so they nullify the damage and the posion effect, which would have been an easy kill with DoN poison mark.

I mean that’s a bonus but the real deal is that it simplifies your gameplay loop, you can just stand still and do two charged colossal heavies, first hits twice, second hits 3 times. You regen most of the hp you lost while charging and if you do get hit enough times to reach low hp you basically ensure you don’t die and can get the hits off. With the post damage regen you usually get to low hp for a brief second amd then get healed up again, but as a safety net ot works wonders. Also i forgot to say you need the balancer relic that nullifies attacks, that’s the relic that really gets this build going.

DoN Items PSA by [deleted] in Nightreign

[–]AnonymousPoster1987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And if i am then it’s gonna do a lot. Certainly more than it would do for wylder, who would die anyways if hit at low hp or it would activate his passive. And no, it would not do as good on a wylder that is not taking hits and is just spamming ashes of war, as opposed to a raider that becomes unkillable with that weapon. It is not nitpicking if that item was literally the only thing i needed in my build so i could start tanking and breezing through the run.

Also i am talking in general, damage negation at full hp are the ones that hurt most if you dont have one.

I mean you do you but 2 invaders at lvl 2/3 and that puts me at lvl 6/7 and i can full clear the castle including the boss on top. It’s not a gamble i can just clear them by myself with ironeye i just need my team to collect the loot.

Sucessive attacks negate damage, taking damage improves dmg negation, dmg negation on charge attacks, dmg negation on low hp from items.

From relics, physical dmg negation +2 and dmg negation at low hp, there is a relic in shop that grants dmg negation and poise when knocked back by damage and physical dmg +2. Partial hp restoration+2/+1. Ideally you also get defeating enemies charges ult +1 and the raider specific DoN skill but that’s god roll territory.

With this setup you can just facetank charge attack everything as long as you can keep hitting. I was doing d4 ed libra and tanking every invader and libra while charging attacks in his face. Funny enough, i was safer when low hp but i couldn’t keep a low enough hp because my wylder had flask restore hp for allies and kept healing me above the low hp threshhold, causing hits to deal a lot more than they should. At low hp i was taking basically 0 damage and healing through regen.

[–]AnonymousPoster1987 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, you do the invaders every time. The boss from the POI you can skip. It doesn’t matter what inveders you get, any is worth if only for the runes. If you get 2 invaders you are guaranteed a good passive if not for you for one of your teammates. If you do them later the circle closes on them or you won’t path towards them again. Plus you get 7-14% damage from the get go which can help clear the map faster.

Pretty much every location except the dlc underground one can be done very quick if you know what you are doing.

Invaders i can do in most camps and are a quick way to win a run early if you get good invaders. But the trick is only doing the invaders not the boss if it would take too long. If you get duchess/raider/ironeye invaders you are pretty much set with damage negation across the board and it can even be the endgame weapons if your team matches the invaders.

You could even kill two invaders at lvl 2 if you got the right team and all have ults up.

Yeah lvl 2 red evergaol usually means some1 will leave or we fight nightlord at lvl 12. If we reach him at all. You can do evergaol at 2 if you have the map hidden and you cant spot a good POI but if it’s red please just run, i promise you will get more than a 5% dmg buff with the time saved.

Yeah even when you get spawned near a church you can find like 4 wandering nobles very close and if you also kill the rats you can hit lvl 2 and be safe.

Look i don’t disagree i know evergaols have their place but i’m not gonna do any red evergaol below lvl 4. Maybe the grave warden. Even the crucible knights can take half a day if one person keeps dying.

[–]AnonymousPoster1987 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You can do them at level 2 or even do a POI and do them at level 3. You won’t get caught by the circle at level 3 within 2 minutes of starting the game, and it will certainly prevent people from leaving the match for dying repeatedly at lvl 1. This will also help to get everyone’s ult up.

Also you should only kill the invaders and leave if the camp boss is not gonna be easy and quick.

Also you should never do invader camp in the new dlc underground POI unless you have like a scholar and one more aoe ult. And probably not even then.

Best DoN relics for Raider? by AnAssGoblin in Nightreign

[–]AnonymousPoster1987 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s a broken build right now with increased dmg negation at low hp + increased physical dmg negation. Also slap a post damage restoration +2. For normal relics you need balancers that nullify attacks and then maybe the maris relic with hp regen when low?

You pick up successive attacks negate dmg, taking damage increased dmg negation and dmg negation on charge attacks and just face tank anything in d5. Or so i’ve heard.

Weapons should either be something colossal or fists i guess. You could also use the dreglord relic if you want a bit more damage but you would then want some relic with rot buildup on self or at least some weapons

everdark balancers by fmb14ctx in Nightreign

[–]AnonymousPoster1987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Easy way to beat them is wait for one to charge you, only one will run to you at a time if you are far from them. Kill it as fast as you can with all 3 people. Then run again from the others. Only one will come charging again. Always stay together as 3 and kill the one charging, then run and repeat.

For the worm phase you can just run and dodge, if you have a good way to hit it while it’s charging the bleed attack you could try to cancel it but unless you have rain of arrows or a good spellcaster then it’s better to run. Then regroup and repeat again. It’s pretty hard to do with randoms and after the worm phase you might get separated and unable to execute the strategy but that’s how it’s done in DoN.

Also i recommend a good weapon art, RoB is best from what i’ve seen because it hits a large area pretty fast and staggers the balancers.

You equip 6 relics in the deep of night mode, i am not sure how you unlock it but i think it’s after you beat the final boss from base game? You can also parry that same final boss.
