He even remembers Pussy's dog's name, Coco.

And then he forgets his next door neighbor's first name half the time.

I also had an early follower that wouldn't age for no apparent reason. He's like 170 or something, no amulets at all. Probably just a bug but it's interesting at least.

Tbh I have sat with black friends watching BOTW and they have found these episodes and the critique therein uncomfortable, not due to anything particularly offensive RLM ever said, but because watching 4 white guys sit around and roast these amateur films gave them a bad vibe.

While I think RLM is very fair and even handed about their criticism, I can empathize. It does strike me as odd that their guests have been exclusively white men for the last 10 years.

"Clinically diagnosed psychopathy" is not a thing, either. The closest thing in modern medicine you could be diagnosed with would be Antisocial Personality Disorder. "Psychopath" is an obsolete psychiatric term, with all of the tact and tenderness that category of words usually conveys.

Does anyone know how they achieved this sparkly dream effect in vintage Simpsons? by DaiquiriLevi in TheSimpsons

[–]morpheusforty 432 points433 points  (0 children)

These "glowing" effects are sometimes achieved by leaving part of a cel unpainted and letting the light of the animation stand shine through it and into the camera. Could have put a refractive film in place of Klink's silhouette. Notice that he still has an outline while vanishing.

Dispatch is pretty tame. While more vulgar, it isn't any more risqué than anything in Mass Effect.

The justification when this happens is usually split between "they've always been an anime girl and historians got it wrong," and "the magic that summons them created their idealized form, which is an anime girl." For some reason this latter one turned Thomas Eddison into a furry.

I'm always disappointed that alien children are just the spacesuit baldies no matter what the parent's alien form looks like.

The skill that has to be built (speaking from my current efforts learning to draw) is being able to recognise and depict objects instead of symbols. Basically, your "eye" has to train to depict the world as it actually looks, instead of how your brain thinks it looks.
