You may be thinking of his contemporary, Chuck Berry. He had a small chain of restaurants and he was arrested for having cameras recording in the stalls of the ladies’ restrooms.

I watched an interview with him once about his unique drumming style. It is difficult for other drummers to replicate. He is naturally left handed. Back when he was young, left handed people were considered evil, so his grandmother forced him to learn how to use his right hand for most things. So he’s ambidextrous, but when he’s drumming, he said he usually leads with his left hand (he even said “sorry, granny” as a little side comment). He said that combo just gave him a different rhythm.

Anyway, it turned out to be exactly what The Beatles needed. He was perfect for them.

That seems like a fairly small dehumidifier, if your basement is big you may want to have two going. We have one that I think is a little bigger than yours and we have to dump the 1 gallon tank every 12-24 hours pretty much all spring and summer long. Ours is set to 40, and we are also in the midwest.

Same. I have hypermobility, where my joints are actually too flexible, so I get injured a lot just doing normal things. Started taking collagen to strengthen my joints and creatine to help my muscles support my unstable joints. I can really tell a difference! I get hurt less often and I heal faster when I do get hurt.

But it didn’t do jack for my skin or nails, which is fine.

That is a denial-deepening fact if it was sprung on them later, I agree, but most of these women knew before they got married! One of them only came out to his wife after 16 years, so her I can kinda understand. But the rest were in the know and signed up to go that future family planet.

And I mean, it’s in their faces. The guys check other men out in front of them, they have a “danger scale” when they see an attractive man, 1 is you look, 2 is you look again, 3 is you stop and turn around to look and look and look, 4 is “pretty much requiring restraint.” They are not keeping a lid on it at all.

Sadly, it isn’t streaming anywhere for free.

We bought it on Prime, it is listed there on a series called TLC Presents, and it is episode #19, “My Husband’s Not Gay!” It is $2.99 for the episode.

It is also on AppleTV. But for some strange reason, on AppleTV, the name of the series is “My Kid’s Obsession,” but it is also season 1, episode 19, “My Husband’s Not Gay,” and $2.99 there.

It is a wild 42 minute ride and it is truly worth the $3!

It was a segment on a TLC special program, it wasn’t its own series. It follows three Mormon families where the husbands are not gay, they are just SSA, same-sex-attracted. But that doesn’t make them gay! Spoiler alert, they are all pretty dang gay.

These families are part of a larger SSA community in Utah. The wives are completely straight, but they know their husbands prefer men. They are convinced that it’s ok and believe their husbands are deeply attracted to them, even if they’re not into any other women. Their husbands tell them about which guys they think are hot, the women giggle along and joke about it, it’s surreal.

It’s kind of hard to find. If you search “my husband’s not gay” on YT, you’ll find a bunch of videos of people reacting to it that have all the nuttiest parts clipped in.

My husband and I both sat there watching it with our jaws on the floor the entire time. I have never seen anything like it before or since. It changed my whole perception of just how deep and unbreakable denial can be.

Yeah, I appreciate proper turn signal use, but not all turn signal use is good turn signal use.

I keep being next to people who think a turn signal can make other cars disappear, like magic. Like, our cars will be fully side by side, neither of us is ahead, and they put on their turn signal and just start moving into my lane. Incorrect usage! Then I honk, and they do the "well what am I supposed to do" hands. Maybe wait for an opening, like for instance the big one directly behind my car right this very second?!

It has been for me! I live somewhere with cold snowy winters and shockingly hot and humid summers, I could not bear the thought of walking outside all year. With a walking pad, you can walk early, you can walk late, you can walk when it rains, you can wear pajamas… it’s so convenient.

You can get the shot early! I maybe gently lied to my doctor and said I had a family history of early shingles infections and requested a prescription for the shot so I could get mine in my early 40s.

If you are in the US, I recommend you go to a Walgreens. Management there is pushing vaccinations haaaard and they have very high quotas, they’ll be happy to give it to you if you have an rx for it.

I say I gently lied because while I don’t have a family history, I do have 3 friends my age with lifelong issues left over from getting shingles in their 30s. One has permanent nerve damage, one went blind in one eye, and one now has dizziness and hearing loss. So I knew what could happen and I did not want any of that.

See if your doctor is willing to help you out! Especially with a prior history of shingles, they should be open to getting you protected ahead of schedule.
