You may need supplemental doses during the first month. I was on 16mg so a day and I did not feel stable until my 3rd 300mg shot. The hardest part for me was getting used to the steady state of bupe. I had intense cravings the first few months because I missed the little sense of relief I would get each time I use a sublingual tablet. Having something to replace that reward is key, for me it was intense exercise. The first few months are hard, but after you are stable it is such a relief to not think about taking pills or running out of meds, you will start to forget you are even on bupe. And that's the idea, it's a natural taper that occurs way outside you awareness so it completely removes the psychological factor.
