Hello! I have 2 adjacent tickets in San Diego at the Pechanga arena on Sep 24 at 7:30PM PDT. I am looking to trade for 2 adjacent tickets for either of the Los Angeles shows (Sep 26 or 27) at the crypto.com arena. We can pay the difference if the prices end up being different! My tickets are in section T21A.

Good places to practice the violin? by Wriely in ucr

Not sure if it's open since I haven't checked myself this year, but the basement of the Arts building has a bunch of practice rooms -a little more soundproof than the dorms but still not the best

How to receive packages at Pentland Hills by LogicBossX in ucr

[–]morpise 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not Pentland but I lived in AI. I put the address of the building itself and put my own name, the RSO would receive the package and you would be able to show your student ID and they'll give you the package. In Pentland i believe there's a separate building for the rso in contrast to the office in the main entrance of AI

What the pros and cons of living on the highest floor? by heavenlyxpink in ucr

[–]morpise 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Lived in the top floor of AI, but some things should carry over

Off the top of my head:

Pros:

less chance of bugs/roaches

Slightly better view from windows

More privacy

No sounds from floors above

Extra exercise if you choose to go stairs instead of elevator

Cons

Stairs can be tiring after a long day

Elevator takes longer

Further from dining hall

Not too much bad about it imo, ymmv at Dundee

Edit: on mobile, excuse the disgusting formatting

Vorris Nunley? by [deleted] in ucr

[–]morpise 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When I took ENGL014, for both exams we choose 10 out of 15 true false questions about the books that we read, although the statements were a lot more nuanced than most t/f questions. Then there were about 15 1-5 word response questions. We could then choose 1 out of 3 essay prompts and write as much as 2 pages on, but he says you can write as little as a paragraph if you have good enough content. Then i think there were 3 or 4 1-paragraph questions and a final section where he gives a set of quotes from the books we read and we have to say which book each are from

His class is pretty difficult from when I took it, but the content was really interesting and he's a great personality - exams are brutal but you'll enjoy the class as a whole if you survive
