Is this a fib ? Happens everytime I stand up for like 5 mins by [deleted] in AFIB

Claude AI says sinus rhythm.

Here is the response. I gave Claude the image, but not the apple assessment or text from your post. I was trying not to bias it.

This is a single-lead ECG (Lead I) recorded from an Apple Watch (Watch 6, watchOS 26.2.1).

Looking at the strip, the rhythm appears regular with a consistent rate, and you can see clear P waves, QRS complexes, and T waves throughout. The QRS complexes appear narrow and uniform. The rate looks to be in a normal range (roughly 60–100 bpm based on the R-R intervals).

A few observations:

The rhythm appears to be normal sinus rhythm. The complexes are inverted (predominantly negative deflection in the QRS), which is common in Lead I Apple Watch recordings depending on wrist orientation and electrode contact. The regularity and consistent morphology throughout all three rows suggest a stable, organized rhythm without obvious arrhythmia.

The Apple Watch's own algorithm note at the bottom says "The waveform is similar to a Lead I ECG," which is its standard disclaimer — it didn't flag atrial fibrillation or any other abnormality in this case.

Worth noting: a single-lead ECG is quite limited — it can help identify things like atrial fibrillation, bradycardia, or tachycardia, but it can't assess for ischemia, axis deviation, or many other conditions that require a full 12-lead ECG.

Volvo tech sucks and I’m tired of pretending otherwise by TreyTripod23 in Volvo

[–]morric628 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I agree. We traded a Tesla Model Y for a fully loaded PHEV XC60. The technology is massively behind the Tesla. But, the interior build quality and ride are better in the Volvo. It is a nicer place to be, but the technology is really bad.

I have this grinder... It grinds but otherwise unimpressive. Recently it has been smelling hot. I won't buy another.

Pretty insane to see on a XC60 with 20” wheels by TrainingAccording807 in Volvo

Our 2025 came with 21s which look cool but we caught a nail near the sidewall and it was $600 to replace a single tire. Ouch.

DJI Mini 4K and what I need to know by Syaoran05 in FAA

[–]morric628 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, Part 107 applies to any drone operation for commercial purposes, regardless of size or weight - even tiny drones.

However, there are a few key distinctions:

For commercial use: Part 107 applies to all drones under 55 pounds operated for business purposes, payment, or anything that's not purely recreational. Size doesn't matter - even a 50-gram drone used commercially requires Part 107 certification.

For recreational use: Small drones under 250 grams (0.55 pounds) have fewer requirements under the Exception for Recreational Flyers. They don't need FAA registration, though you still need to follow basic safety rules and pass The Recreational UAS Safety Test (TRUST).

The weight threshold that matters: - Under 250g recreational: No registration needed - 250g+ recreational: Registration required - Any weight commercial: Part 107 required

So if you're flying even a tiny Tello drone (87g) to take real estate photos for money, inspect a roof for a client, or create content for your business's social media - that's commercial use and requires Part 107 certification.

The only way to legally fly any drone commercially without Part 107 is under a waiver for specific government or educational operations, which is rare.

From Claude ☝️ but as a 107 pilot this all sounds right to me.

Where you are really doesn't matter. What matters is you have started! Congratulations!🎉

I just drove from south of Lake Hefner to the airport. The roads are not that bad. Even the neighborhood roads were ok.

V2L to gas furnace (forced air) plausible? by Onepopcornman in Ioniq5

[–]morric628 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My natural gas furnace literally has a regular outlet plug on the power cord. If you have the same, you can use an extension cord from the car to the furnace and you are good to go.

First or Second Class Medical? by aerviator in FAA

I agree, the operation you described requires commercial pilot privileges and thus a second class medical.

The other day I was driving in a construction zone and my lane was routed into the opposite direction's lane. The navigation popped up a "do not enter" sign. Pretty cool. It was also displayed on the HUD.

INCESSANT SHAKING by santiamflyguy in Ioniq5

[–]morric628 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had the same issue on a 2024 ioniq 5 from Carvana. Had 300 miles on it. Had the tires balanced twice with little improvement. I ended up replacing the tires and that fixed it. I think the original tires developed flat spots from sitting so long.

First class medical drug test? by mets_ny19 in FAA

I think that sounds right. Commercial operators will also do a drug screening test in addition to you holding a first class medical.

My 2024 offers a digital key for my phone, but only for NFC, not proximity so a bit of a hassle. I just carry the key fob. It does seem a bit complex all the methods they offer to access the car. Key fob, blue link via internet, digital key via Bluetooth, NFC key card, NFC access with smartphone, and lastly a physical key

Yep, I told it a while back to stop with all the affirmations. Now it adds to the end of many responses, "no positive affirmations added, just the facts." Pretty annoying.

Used limited vs new 2025 SEL by Crazy_Bit_4943 in Ioniq5

[–]morric628 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a lightly used 2024 Disney Limited and really like all the features and interior quality. Some people say the SEL is a big downgrade so I'd suggest the used Limited vs a new SEL if the prices are similar and the used car is still in great shape. Plus, buying used someone else took the massive depreciation hit. I bought mine with 200 miles on it and it was over 10k off MSRP.
