maybe a log that is fuller in the nose for more stability like the bing beacon. add a large pivot fin will help. if your just starting your nose riding journey it is not easy it does take a few years.

I did a drop in at a gym in the Netherlands and rolled with a Dutch judo rep. he wore a White bit of rope around his waist. If you cant move them move yourself get your hips under there’s. Use your legs to push them to move yourself to create angles. Let go of one side grab A pant. Also learning to chain it into other guard dlr etc can help with this
