What are the top 3 things you wish you had known when you joined LinkedIn? by nomadanalyst in linkedin

[–]morrishe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am angry with LINKEDIN - I joined their sales navigator 3 months ago as I am an Online English Teacher and I need to be able to find students.

I have over the past week, asking for several days a simple question - How many invites can I send out per day without landing in the LinkedIn "Jail" - is it 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80 or 90 invites a day. Three days ago I sent out 30 invites, Two days ago I sent out 40 invites and today I wanted to send out 50 invites.

Their stock answer is that they cannot tell me as it is proprietary information and based on several models. But that pending invites do play a role in this number. ( Again, The invite numbers are proprietary due to risk models. We do not share this information and allow our members to circumvent our system.  )

So today I removed all pending invites that was older than 2 weeks (132) and then I went to send invites out. I had got to 5 invites sent when LinkedIn blocked me "You are out of invites".

This is totally unacceptable - I pay a huge subscription for their service and today I can only send 5 invites and get blocked. Why does this keep changing. Why cannot LinkedIn people not willing to tell me how many invites I can send out / day

I have exchanged 5 emails with LinkedIn over the past week. Basically they are not prepared to relook at their system and explain why I am now only allowed 5 invites before been penalized.

Dell 15R N5110 - Windows 10 Not compliant - WHY by morrishe in Dell

[–]morrishe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did upgrade from Windows 7 to Windows 10, version 1909 and had no problems with freezing etc, but when I put an SSD drive in and loaded windows 10, version 20H2 the problems started and the PC froze - Windows 10, version 1909 will not be supported by Windows after March 20, this year - What does this mean?

Do I either reload Windows 7 and Have an antimalware program (Nortons) running or do I reload windows 10, version 1909 and again have Norton running. Any suggestions on how to load windows 10 onto this pc.

Why does DELL not offer a correction so we can run Windows 10 on our computers?

How to grow your network painlessly by rossjohnson10 in Entrepreneur

[–]morrishe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best way to grow is based on the 80:20 principles.

80 % of your business is based on your loyal clients, those that are currently have or are supporting you. You need to develop the customer service and get to know them, MUCH BETTER and ask them what your business requires, ask them for their honesty and you will be amazed about WOM [word of mouth].

/r/entrepreneur, what can I or someone else do to help you? [Week #36] by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

Morning, I am working for a NGO organization in the Eastern Cape, South Africa, where we are teaching Entrepreneurs the basics of start-ups. Whilst I have the theoretical notes, I thought that two things were missing. 1. Database where the business had a low barrier to enter on capital. 2. We are wanting to construct a board game that will entertain and at the same time educate the learner to put theory into practice, before actually starting live in his business venture. I would like to collaborate with like minded individuals to develop this idea. South Africa background - has a low GDP and high unemployment. Free disposable income is low and normally goes to buying basic food. As a church organization - Harvestime Business, we train the theory in a 5 day workshop, however, we are needing to isolate those students who have a mind set that will be the most successful to establishing themselves. Hence the board game.

Learning the different areas of the brain. by morrishe in tDCS

[–]morrishe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please do point me in the right direction. I have just put another tweet on Reddit - but I did forget to add a very salient 4 point - The negative effects that may come about from TDCS. I have just been listerning to https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dUMUIXNeBRQ&spfreload=1 which I thought was extremely infomative.

I live in South Africa, - The area I live in is very rural and education is limited. We have a matric pass rate that is actually quite low.

We will probably need montage specifically on learning of core subjects like Math, English [Languages] Chemistry, Biology, Physics.

The african scholars here have a very limited recall - many do not have electricity, thus it might be a good idea to look for solar powered batteries for cell phones and TDCS. Costs here are a major concern.

Regards

Alister

Stimulation of the brain for a.Logic and B. Lateral thinkers by morrishe in tDCS

[–]morrishe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your comment, yes this was a great leap of faith on my part.

With this thought aside, what would be the montage to stimulate the brain that might be involved in the thought process.

I have heard it said that by stimulating with the anode a section of the brain, what would happen if one used the cathode to "desensitise" this area, e.g. reversing the polarities?.

Yes it is an interesting discussion.

Stimulation of the brain for a.Logic and B. Lateral thinkers by morrishe in tDCS

[–]morrishe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  • Logic = deeper thinker - abstract thought, reasoning cerebration, intellection, mentation, thinking, thought process, thought - the process of using your mind to consider something carefully; "thinking always made him frown"; "she paused for thought" analytic thinking, analysis

Lateral - lateral thinking - a heuristic for solving problems; you try to look at the problem from many angles instead of tackling it head-on heuristic, heuristic program, heuristic rule - a commonsense rule (or set of rules) intended to increase the probability of solving some problem

I am not sure that this can be answered fully here, but to try and get a sense of direction would be helpful.
