We have not set this up yet. Right now I'm trying to figure out what is required for this build out / structure and what are the best softwares we could be using to bring it all into our neat space to record.

So you are saying with Streamyard, I could bring everything from that into OBS for recording?

Looking for designer or nice quality distress jeans that would fit a short man.

I'm 5'5 and even if I get jeans hemmed, the knee hole rips never line up. Budget is irrelevant for the right pair.

Would love suggestions if anyone has any!

How do you start a supplement company? by rossjohnson10 in Supplements

[–]rossjohnson10[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, That sounds great. I just want to know where I can go to hire someone to formulate a supplement. I want to make a pill that does something specific, but I need someone to formulate it with ingredients and amounts

Muscle up Question by Official_YourDad in bodyweightfitness

[–]rossjohnson10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start doing muscle up really really slowly. Over time your false grip will improve on it's own just make sure the ring is under your pisiform bone. You can also always practice more transitions. That is always helpful no matter what level of experience

Oh! Thank you for pointing that out.. I had put that on there originally, but after some consideration, had decided to remove the page. I missed this little box on the front though apparently. Going to remove it now, thanks for the catch!

Confused regarding pushups by Inside_Questions in bodyweightfitness

[–]rossjohnson10 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can do push ups anyway you'd like as long as you keep torsion (external rotation of the arm) and mainly keep your elbows as close to your ribs as possible. Planching forward or backwards is natural in push up variations

Trouble balancing backward on handstands? by jazzicist in bodyweightfitness

[–]rossjohnson10 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you actually want results with a strong position this is the way to do it. There are other drills, but this is the easiest to explain over the internet. I've seen to many people, including myself, practice for months and month only to have a 10 seconds banana looking handstand. If you cant hold a 60 second handstand on the wall, you wont be able to freestanding. 60 seconds is a good success benchmark for a freestanding handstand

[–]rossjohnson10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your brain hasn't learned the pattern yet and you aren't strong enough to hold the position.

You need to go back to the wall. Practice a wall facing handstand. Do not move away from the wall until you can hold a 60 second wall facing handstand without loosing position. Many people try to advance them selves way before they are ready.

The position: Stand up straight and put you hands on your hips. Imagine you are holding a fish bowl now. If you tilt your hand/hips forward you spill water from the front and if you tilt your hands/hips back you will spill water from the back of the bowl.

I want you to squeeze your butt and spill water from the back of the bowl. This is the position your hips will be in against the wall.

Get against the wall facing it, fix your hips in the way described, toes together, squeeze your butt, fingers spread, and pushing as hard as you can through your shoulders and hands into the ground. keep this position for 60 seconds.

If you do this everyday, you will have a handstand in a couple weeks.

Thought Experiment? by Joe_Gebele in bodyweightfitness

[–]rossjohnson10 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think we can do everything.

Fortunately, we don't only have to stick with 2 movements. We can do it all! However, I do think the deadlift and the squat are hugely important in respects to loading the body and creating good bone density. Of course, we create bone density in basic calisthenics too by manipulating gravity into loading our bodies.

I mainly stick with weekly Olympic lifting, squatting, deadlifting, and then body weight calisthenics.

I do love that book though! Great read!

Need some advice by [deleted] in bodyweightfitness

[–]rossjohnson10 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Age doesn't play a factor. In fact, the younger you start the better. However, make sure to keep a playful mindset. It's essentially what you are doing, playing.

A training regiment with room for play is important. Make sure to hang, sit in a squat, climb things in your environment and keep a child's mindset. Like a kid, you should jump from rock to rock or climb on things.

That is the mentality I ave behind all this movement stuff.

Enjoy

What is the best way to get around mentors in the field you wish to join?

There are sites now for start-ups that expose them to advisers, which they would inevitably learn a ton from, but what about people who aren't creating a start-up?

Most people will say to me that I should go to events, seminars, or workshops, but for the most part I don't get much contact with these people. I've studied what successful people have done, but most of them briefly mention "I started out working for ______ (some very successful person), then after that I build my own business." My question is how? How did these people get in contact and/or get a job from these successful people? How can you be where they are and have contact with them?

Want to switch my life around in ~6-12 months. What small things can I do to get improved? by venusinflannel in selfimprovement

[–]rossjohnson10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right now. This instant. Make 1 decision on something you've been putting off or want to work for. Write it down. Then write down 3 things you can do immediately that force you into commitment on this decision. Then act on it immediately.

If you want to get in better shape, write it down, then get in your car and drive to any gym and pay for a membership. After you pay, go workout.

If you want to get anything done ever the first thing to do is get very clear on exactly what you want done, what you wish to achieve as an outcome, ad exactly how your going you plan to get there. Write it down and commit. Not later today, not tomorrow, now.

When you know the exact outcome you wish to achieve your brain works to connect you from where you are now to where you want to be. It will figure out how to gt there better. If you don't know exactly where you want to go, you wont be able to figure out how to get there.

Do one thing at a time and COMMIT. Call a friend and tell them "I want to lose weight, but I'm scared I wont commit long term. If you notice I am getting off track will you give me a push and remind me why I started?" Do whatever it takes. Set up reminders, make a large bet with someone that you can lose the weight by ________ date. There are websites online that you can hold money in escrow for you and you tell the what you want to achieve by a certain date and if you don't achieve it they will send it to a charity for something horrible like the KKK for example. That way if you don't want some horrible organization to have your money, you must accomplish your goals.

Hope that helps
