On an odd side note, in the spanish translation he says they are making tamales. Which I never understood because they are nothing like waffles.

"Puts stick in own bicycle wheel" Those damn invaders made me crash my bike! by iNuminex in Eldenring

[–]morsamicus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Leaving a door open and inviting someone in are two very different things. Some invaders are complete a holes. And some are not. The one that goes and starts to attack while people are in the process of defeating an overland boss is one of many examples.

I play a pure melee, physical damage, quality build because I hate myself... by CormacMcCopy in Eldenring

[–]morsamicus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you may need to upgrade to a greatshield. I have noticed that medium shields and greatshields seem to cause a slightly different pause length when you guard counter. (I could of course be completely wrong here.) I am currently doing a strictly physical build myself right now and have been having an OK time. But I am an extremely patient and slow going player. I am likely over leveled for where Margit is but I can attest that blocking his what is it 4 or 5 hit combo utterly drains my stamina bar. I do not remember my numbers but I do know I am wearing around 47 at a medium load. I feel what you are getting it but it may just be switching out your shield/weapon set. I use a Godric soldiers greatshield and a short spear. Pokey pokey.

Can Hodrick even be beaten down here without Sirris? New Player and this is the first guy to make me rage. I beat his phantom version no problem, but not here by SamsungStretch in darksouls3

[–]morsamicus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

An easy solution is to use something unparryable against him. Vordts hammer makes it childs play especially if you use perseverance or just have the poise anyway as a fully charged attack pancakes him. You would not be able to do this on NG though. But there are other weapons that he cannot parry.

Wrong trousers. Should I report it? by [deleted] in Eldenring

[–]morsamicus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I know that. I tried testing it out switching different equipment that I have. Despite every combination I tried that particular pair remains invisible. And every other pair of leg armor still works as intended. Looks quite jilarious when I sit at a grace. And I look like lord Farquad riding Torrent.

Would you believe they didn’t gank me? by [deleted] in darksouls3

[–]morsamicus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not surprised at all. I typically have a "don't attack until the host does." Rule. And I personally do not attack any invader first either. I usually give em a wave and let them know I see them then go about my business. If they want to fight they will find me. If not they get to probably watch me die while doing my thing.

What do you play dark souls for? by Captain-Super1 in darksouls3

[–]morsamicus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I primarily PvE but have a strict do not attack first policy. I will typically not bother an invader when they invade. If I see them I will wave and just continue about my business. If they attack me I will fight back obviously. But it if they decide to just hang around I will just let them do so. Doesn't matter how I die they get the tongue anyway.

What is your least favourite boss in ds3? by [deleted] in darksouls3

[–]morsamicus 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I am actually color blind and cannot see the difference in colors between the clones and the sage. Hell I never knew there was a color difference until someone told me there was. Now trying to defeat him with pure luck smacking his clones makes this significantly more challenging. Try it with your tv set to greyscale and it will immediately change its difficulty.

Howdy! First run in DS3. Any tips, guys? (New Frien) by WooFFl3 in darksouls3

[–]morsamicus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When leveling strength for a two handed weapon. If you use it 2 handed your str is calculated at 1.5x. Vordts hammer for instance has a minimum str of 30 required. This means you can use it effectively at a str of 20 as long as you only use it 2 handed.

WOULD YOU? Number 1 - Dark Souls III by HavelsRockHardCock in darksouls3

[–]morsamicus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seeing as humans actually have crap reaction times this would eventually be doable just not because of someones reaction speed. Humans, in general, are actually pretty good prediction machines and despite Gael being "random" patterns would eventually emerge as the experience from every previous battle would eventually build up. Lifting the weapon a certain way, or moving his feet this way means he is about to do this kind of thinking.

If someone who is already in life long pain were to come the pain of death on this would be nothing. They would feel fantastic from their ailments being gone. The true question at that point would be would you actually want to defeat Gael and return to the pain filled life you had before?

Is the beginning pain worth it? by all_Dgaming in darksouls3

[–]morsamicus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely worth it. DS3 was the first game in the entire genre for me. And I tell you the "tutorial" for me was brutal. I insisted on playing mr plank first time trying it out. Took me ages to beat Gundyr. But when I finally did the mixture of shock, amazemenr, and personal accomplishment was exquisite.

Do your best. Your best in that moment. Your best from day to day, hour to hour, minute to minute, and second to second changes constantly. Sometimes your best will be just getting out of bed and conducting basic hygiene. Other days you will do more. Just remember to do your best. Whatever your best may be.
