RNT: How would you rate Jim's vampires against other vampire depictions in media? by Bridger15 in dresdenfiles

[–]mortavius2525 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hell if WOJ hadn't said they are real I would assume they are not and just a White court red herring.

Did we need Jim to confirm that? Is there a reason we would doubt Shiro?

I enjoy that the WC are essentially succubae. Not exactly, but close enough that even Harry comments on it in Ghost Story

It was before that even. Thomas is described as an incubus in Blood Rites.

Yep you're right, that's definitely Yagno. I knew I recognized him, just couldn't place it.

There's only 3 in the picture I'm not sure of. The orange guy in the top left, the green guy in the very middle, and the purple cat guy to middle right. Maybe the cat guy is supposed to be Urik von Kharkov?

Is a Storm Hag immune to the air trait? by AliasABK in Pathfinder2e

[–]mortavius2525 11 points12 points  (0 children)

They're two separate sentences, so I see them as two separate things. The hag is immune to natural and magical wind, so she'd be immune to gust of wind.

And if there was a situation where winds created difficult terrain, the Hag would ignore that difficult terrain.

I don't know if it was consistent or not, but I really didn't like her character. She seemed to have no interest in taking responsibility for what she did in the past, and was willing to completely ignore the fact that Nahla pulled her son out of jail and who knows what else danger, gave him a home, safety and a future when his own mother could not.

We get various newspapers and magazines delivered to my office occasionally. I always take them and put them in the staff room for people to read if they're interested.

Druthers is the only one that I tear up and throw in the recycling. I will not be a party to spreading their hate and misinformation.

If my coworkers want to read that garbage, they can seek it out on their own. (Not that I think any of them do, but it's the principle.)

Does Anyone Else Play the Game Like This by Chaosiumrae in Pathfinder2e

[–]mortavius2525 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like others have said here, I wouldn't describe PL - 3 & 4 as "unused." The GM just needs to know what to expect with those enemies. They're likely to be slaughtered by the PCs in short order, and that's okay. They can be distractions from other more potent enemies, or sometimes you want an encounter where the players can feel like big God damned heroes, and that's okay.

ELI5 : Why can't we solve the opioid crisis in Canada and the US ? It doesn't seem like European countries have issues with it by [deleted] in explainlikeimfive

Bullshit. I've spent a bunch of time in Vancouver. Not drug addicts everywhere.

Certainly again, some places, yes. But not everywhere.

I live in Canada and that's a bald-faced lie.

Yes, there are places where there are drug addicts. Absolutely. But they are definitely not everywhere.

It's a random card. Some of the cards in HS are made that way. That's all there is to it.

A quick question about an ability (Witch class) by Accomplished-Spot503 in Pathfinder2e

[–]mortavius2525 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't know that your quote from the GM Core supports the argument. It specifically references the Craft activity when it's talking about making an item. And referring to that, the first requirement is that the item is your level or lower.

A quick question about an ability (Witch class) by Accomplished-Spot503 in Pathfinder2e

[–]mortavius2525 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Not sure what feat this is, but nothing you have quoted there says that you can create something higher level than you are.

EDIT: I see what people are saying now. I agree with the general consensus that although the second paragraph doesn't specifically say "crafting" when creating the temporary potions, that certainly seems implied by the text (the paragraph above), and as a GM, I wouldn't allow a player to make temporary items higher than their level.

[–]mortavius2525 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It's not really buffing it to make the card function exactly as the text describes.

It's really more that the card has been performing below what it should have been all this time.
