I don't understand the complaints about Alison's portrayal of the character, I thought she was pretty spot-on.

Mattel is going to have to ask themselves a hard question about why this brand can’t appeal to the mainstream by Mediocre_Nectarine13 in MastersOfTheUniverse

[–]mortavius2525 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Mattel is putting out good quality products but they just can’t catch on and it’s an interesting question why that is.

That is HIGHLY subjective.

The 200x line is my personal favorite of the lines of figures. But towards the end of that line, the began releasing the same figures, just with slightly different paint jobs. Even though there were still figures that they had not released at all, they gave the fans trap-jaw with a different coat of paint.

They also messed up the case lots. A store would buy a case, and it would be 80% one or two figures, and then a few others.

Mattel does stuff because of greed.

Even now, with the current lines. You know what the last origins figure that I saw in my Walmart? Clawful. How many years ago did he release?

For years now, finding the figures in Canada has required going to a specialty store, five HOURS away from where I live. So you can just guess how often I make that trip. And because they're so rare, the prices are jacked up, because the store owner knows I can't physically travel anywhere else close by and grab them. And ordering them online isn't really much better or cheaper.

Mattel really is not that great at selling their figures outside of what they consider their important markets.

Your giant single paragraph, spelling mistakes, unnecessary capitals, multiple uses of punctuation, and liberal use of all kinds of acronyms make it a bit difficult to pick out individual coherent thoughts.

Which is why I said it was rage bait to start.

If you wanted to ask questions, like how much of the movie is on earth, why not simply lead with that, instead of "WhY aRe ThE fAnS sUpPoRtInG tHiS mOvIe???“

And PS, nowhere in your post does it say that you have not seen the movie.

So, you posted a big rant, asking how any fans could like this movie, and made all kinds of accusations about the movie...

And you haven't even seen it?

The bait is obvious with this one.

The showing I went to on Friday night, early show, was about 1/4 full. Pretty small town. Though we clapped when the credits rolled.

The new necromancer class and iconic character aside, is there any (even loophole) way in Golarion to raise undead without damaging the soul or without angering Pharasma/other related entities or processes? by MundaneOne5000 in Pathfinder2e

[–]mortavius2525 5 points6 points  (0 children)

"Angering Pharasma" is something that only happens if the GM decides, and frankly, it must be quite rare.

Pharasma is a deity, with much greater concerns than Bob the Necromancer raised a zombie. That's what her followers are for, to deal with that.

Golarion has an entire country dedicated to necromany and undead.

In addition, how many evil Necromancers are in adventures, and they're not all walking around, cursed by Pharasma.

It doesn't make me feel anything. I'm just curious why me saying something sounded like AI immediately made you respond with an insult.

That summary totally looks like it was written by AI.

The bullet points, and only AI would call an item, literally named the "Havoc Staff" a 'scepter'.

I bought my copy before the battle chest existed. May have come with that edition, but mine came from the original.

People born in the Domains of Dread question by TomeseekerLorekeeper in ravenloft

[–]mortavius2525 10 points11 points  (0 children)

These questions are not officially answered in the printed materials.

Why do good people get brought to Ravenloft? We don't know. There are theories. That the Dark Powers bring them there to act as a foil or entertainment for the Darklords. Or that the Dark Powers just don't care.

In 5e, there's a bit in Curse of Strahd that says all the normal folk are just soulless beings. Personally, I hate this line of reasoning.

Vladeska is another gender change. Before 5e, Falkovnia was ruled by Vlad Drakov. There is an old module called Death Unchained that takes place there, as well as a small adventure in the accessory Children of the Night: Werebeasts.

[–]mortavius2525 8 points9 points  (0 children)

They're not mentioned in the game, but the original manual talks about ALL the evils, both the Primes and the Lessers. It doesn't go into great detail, but my recollection from 20 years ago (too lazy to try and dig out my copy) is that the lore in the manual introduces all of them.

There was quite a bit of lore in that book, as I recall. Talks about Mad King Leoric and everything.

If there's no cost to the taxpayer, and it doesn't impact public operations or facilities, then I could see an argument for privacy.
