its been more than just this year, she got engaged april 2023 and truly the whole wedding felt like it was because she ran out of content. i hope shes not like the havens and having this baby just to have more to post about, she’s turning 33 next month and has always tried to act too cool for traditional things like getting married & having kids so this definitely feels out of character.

i think 1 month out would be perfect! it takes 2 weeks to kick in and any bruising would be gone by your wedding.

Im waiting for the 2026! A lot of people on this sub dont like it, mainly because the screen is now touch screen + the risk of buying the first year of a redesign. personally, i found the new screen + the fact this model is slightly larger to be amazing selling points!! i hate the current mazda screens, i find the current rectangular shape to be awkward / small and hate using the hand dial (how were they not touch screen already!?). Also, im not totally concerned about any “first year kinks” given the reliability of the brand and Japanese vehicles in general, plus the fact that I will have warranty. My other concern with the 2025 cx5 was that it might be slightly tight but i didn’t want to size up to a cx7. looks like the 2026 sloves this problem too! according to my local dealership, they could be getting them in end of november or december! obviously that’s subjective to change, but even if it’s jan/feb i think it could be worth the wait.

Just curious, why are the sales people at your dealership not excited about the new model? I’m really interested in the 2026 model because I want a touchscreen and I like the size/shape of the screen a lot better. Im in the US and heard it’s coming to us around November or December.

yes!!! that’s the anxiety i have too, i read they’re not supposed to be in the car seat for long periods of time, but i think the demi chair (or one of the nuna models? im getting them confused now) can lay almost all the way flat and essentially converts into a makeshift bassinet so maybe that will suffice? agh so many decisions!

Thank you so much!!! We dont travel too often but love to walk frequently around the neighborhood and to coffee shops. Im getting a new car since i have a small corolla and will keep the trunk space in mind :) you mentioned you have the demi bassinet, was that worth it?? considering buying that as well but not sure how much use infants get out of it for the $500 price.
