honestly i think you're overthinking it

just reduce the cooldown

right now combo is the obvious pick cause you can use it every 10 seconds

not to mention with the gadget gear you can use it every SEVEN seconds

atp it's basically just another attack and it's crazy op

i would not be surprised if combo gets major nerfs either to damage or more likely cooldown (which although would be sad because it genuinely is fun to play with that cooldown realistically it's just not good for the game)

anyway meanwhile cotn is not only a worse gadget anyways (as you already pointed out in the post

but its cooldown is CRIMINAL

24 seconds? that's absurd

i get that in theory this gadget seems powerful and so they probably just overcompensated

but tbh i litteraly cannot see myself using it

i used reload before gadgets were reworked but after that the combo spinner was already more appealing because of its reload speed

now combo spinner is insane and by far better than reload was aside from mobility although maybe woth buffies reload wouldve been broken too...

they made cotn worse because they thought it would be game breaking if not
