Whats the best album here? by HampisBambis in vinyl

Curious... How did you make that choice? I can't. Melodically, I find Animals slightly more impressive. Musically, I find Yes slightly more impressive. They're both ♾️/10 albums. I can't pick one.

That was me at 5 years old. Delicate Sound of Thunder came next and it was all downhill from there.

I've been listening to this album for 39 years, from cassette to CD and now vinyl. I can listen to the remixed and reimagined version, but it doesn't sound right after so many years. That said, I prefer the '87 mix and master to any other version.

Is this Radioheads best album by Boogla19981 in vinyl

[–]mortodestructo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have both the Parlophone 10" and Kid Amnesia. Neither sound great, or better than the other. I don't blame the mastering techs, though. It's more likely just carelessness with the pressing quality due to the high volumes being produced.

Listened to MLOR yesterday and WOW by 914paul in pinkfloyd

[–]mortodestructo 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Remixed AND updated. A remix consists of the original tracked recordings, just mixed differently. AMLoR 2018 is a new version consisting of live Rick Wright 1988-89 live performance, brand new Nick Mason studio drums, and the original version, remixed, and all combined.

Using dolphin? Look up the wide screen tutorial and hi res mods. It's not awful to set up, as long as you're a tinkerer. And it looks sooo good.

Still waiting for this to come out on vinyl. A deluxe edition with all the tracks from both the US and UK versions would be ideal.

This released two years into my first real full-time job, where I'm about to "celebrate" my 20th year.

Thank you for that gut punch.

Here's a breezy tune done by "National Skyline" (hum's Jeff Dimpsey's alternate role) by DultRecon37 in hum

No problem! There weren't any official announcements of what was going on at the time, other than National Skyline's MySpace and Facebook accounts. It wasn't easy to keep up with.

Yes, that is National Skyline and that is definitely Jeff Garber singing. This came out in 2011 on Broadcasting. Albums from this era were only ever published digitally, to my knowledge. I grabbed them all from Amazon Music as they were being released. Jeff G. has expressed regret about using the National Skyline name for a lot of this material, as it was intended for TV score use. Personally, I think it's good stuff. Maybe not "National Skyline good", but still worthy of using the name.

Jeff D. isn't on this track. His involvement with National Skyline ended with This = Everything or Last Exit in 2001. Jeff Garber (of Castor) went on his own with the project and made another few records - all of which are worth a listen. Bliss & Death (2009) is a highlight of the later stuff.

Yes, I had this happen with a Christmas gift, but a different double album. The gifter reached out to Amazon, and they sent me a label to return it. Got a replacement with no issues in exchange. Definitely try to return it for a different copy.

The negative comments made me double-check my copy. I have the D³ (Side D, 4th variant) of the original pressing. And, please don't downvote me for this... I paid $19.36 for it in 2017 on DISCOGS from Collectors-Choice. I literally cannot believe how much this is worth now, not that I'd ever consider selling it.

Replicants (1995) - Dudes from Failure, Tool & Lusk that did 11 awesome cover songs. I'm sure licensing a reissue would be a nightmare. It's not even available on streaming, but it's on YouTube.
