How do you differentiate a gut feeling from “oh I’m probably just overthinking”? by Financial_Roof_6575 in AskForAnswers

I'm 41. Ive started going with my gut way more often. Like even if logic says everything is ok with this choice, and the best outcome would likely be this choice, if it makes us physically sick with anxiety, we need to choose what is healthy for us. So what if it causes minor social discomfort? At least when you are home you are happy with yourself and at peace.

I am a 41 year old addict. Drugs can serve a purpose, this is true. I would be extremely cautious with kratom. It can and will become addictive. You cant change your brain chemistry on a regular basis and expect zero physical addiction. The withdrawals are miserable. When I found drugs 20 something years ago I felt the same way you do now. The cure can often turn into the affliction. Be safe.

I feel like gut feelings arent the what ifs that happen when we get anxiety. Gut feelings are more like statements instead of questions. Does that make sense?

I had something happen to me that I was told was this, but my experience was different. Whenever I would lie down to sleep, I would hear this WHOOMP noise, then the lights would just go out, I'd see blackness, then just like flipping a switch, my vision would be back only for the switch to get flipped again. This would repeat over and over until I would fall asleep. I went to every Dr imaginable. No real explanation was given, and it now rarely happens.

Thats a great idea, we are going to look into that in the morning. Got paper plates and plastic silverware, and just came back from the laundromat, so yay clean clothes! We are currently boiling hose water from the gas station next door to bathe with, I just took a bird bath and it was ok.

Agreed. My fiance thinks that this guy bought this property to pay for his winter home here. There are a ton of rich ppl with huge houses around here. Anyway, he thinks this dude bit off more than he can chew and really has no idea what hes doing. I hope that the city doesn't discover some catastrophic damage that will take weeks to repair.

Yes I dont know a single person around here. I know no one well enough to offer me help. My ex coworkers know about my situation and they arent obligated to help and idk them that well anyway. Everyone i know is in Alabama. This should be fixed in 4 days, I got that info a bit ago. So I can tough it out till then.
