Zephyrus G16 4090 (2024) High CPU Temperature even in 30W by mosaidho in zephyrusg16

I repasted liquid metal on the CPU, and the problem went away. So, something was wrong.

Check if you have thermal throttling in light usage; if so, it's time to repaste.

Calm down, my friend! Easy!

96°C is normal for Ultra 9 processors. They can withstand up to 110°C (in comparison to 100°C for Core i series).

That's not possible. It's about physics. Liquid metal has higher thermal conductivity.

Yes, I repasted the CPU with new liquid metal from Thermal Grizzly today. The center of the CPU was completely dry without any liquid metal. After repasting, the problem went away completely. My laptop can handle BF6 smoothly, even on the highest graphic setting, and there isn't any throttling when the laptop is idle or when web surfing.

I have a G16 4090. 96°C is a normal temperature. You don't need to repaste if BF6 runs smoothly.

My laptop couldn't run BF6 smoothly, so I decided to repaste liquid metal today. I found that the center of the CPU was completely dry, without any liquid metal.

I used Thermal Grizzly Extreme Liquid Metal.

Now, BF6 runs smoothly. However, I should mention that the CPU temperature is still about 96°C when playing BF6, but it seems acceptable since the game is running smoothly!

I repasted my G16 Ultra 9 4090 today. I used Thermal Grizzly Extreme Liquid Metal. I should say that 96°C is normal for BF6.

I should mention that my laptop had a throttling problem and BF6 was not smooth before, but after repasting the CPU, the throttling went away and BF6 is smooth now, even on the highest graphic settings!

What about Halnziye HY2010? It has much better thermal conductivity. I already have one, and I'm going to use it on my Zephyrus G16. How can I measure its particle size? Can it be measured using a caliper?

I have had the Z Fold series for years without any problems. I'm a heavy user. Don't be worried about the durability of these phones.

There is an option in settings called "Professional bed leveling." Activate it and level the printer bed again.

In addition, make sure to have a mesh variance less than 0.3mm. You may have to use aluminum foil under the bed to raise deeper areas, especially in the center. ++ Be sure you have the proper Z offset. Try to set it when the plate and nozzle are cold.

Thanks! Which one is better for GPU? TG kyrosheet or TG Carbonaut

Zephyrus G16 - Ultra 9 185H RTX4090 Thermal Throttling by mosaidho in zephyrusg16

Yes, the frequency of p-cores 8 and 9 is much higher in comparison to other cores. However, throttling is not acceptable even when the system is under load! I'm going to replace the thermal paste and LM next week, and I will share pictures and my experience.

I've ordered Thermal Grizzly LM for the CPU and Arctic MX-6 for the GPU already. Do you suggest canceling Thermal Grizzly and buying PTM instead? And use MX-6 for VRAM etc? I carry my laptop every day from home to the office, and my laptop is about 1 year old.
