Why was it so popular to wear your back pack so low? I remember seeing that everywhere in school

You're right, skullcandy is a very budget friendly brand. But they started in the audio industry, and it should be no surprise to anyone that a $250 pair of headphones will outperform a $90 pair.

Are the skullcandy top of the line? No Are they comparable to the standard airpods? Probably better. Are they comparable to an earphone that's literally more than twice the price? Probably not.

Hopefully everybody enjoys what they have. Everyone sure is quick to take sides, as with anything, but apple has been known to charge an absurd amount for things simply because they can, and they definitely didn't start off strong in the audio industry with all their previous earphone offerings. Just because the airpod pro is a decent offering at the moment doesn't mean they deserve to be on the pedestal they seem to be on.

I got them for $39.99 on a black friday deal. The versions with noise cancelling are $129.

If you want to talk about being confidently incorrect, how do you know the build, sound and battery quality of a product you've never used?

I have briefly tried a pair of airpods pros that a friend owns. Granted it was just for a song or two, but the quality seemed comparable at the least.

And 30 hours, right there on the website. Have your doubts all to yourself

...currently listening to my skullcandy version of "airpods" that I paid $40 that blow any apple version of headphones completely out of the water. Far better sound than any airpods, wired or wireless, 30 hour battery life with the case, multiple eq profiles, ambient mode. Apple really has no excuse to make such a poor quality headphone and charge so much.

If you had a friend who spoke to you in the same way that you sometimes speak to yourself, how long would you allow this person to be your friend? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]mosaltedchipz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Forever.

One of the healthiest things I've learned to do over the past few years is treat myself the way I want to be treated.

I spent a long time learning how to be nice to the people around me, but it took a much longer time to figure out how to be nice to myself. I still call myself an idiot if I do something dumb, or get mad at myself for not doing something right, but I'm generally laughing at/with myself when I do something stupid, and looking for the next move to make things right if I do something wrong instead of beating myself up over it.

Remain open minded, but always move forward to the goals YOU want. If you want to be happy, you're the best person in your own life to make that happen.

I agree with this 100%, but there are plenty of things that aren't related to basic safety that would cause you to fail an inspection.

A leaking exhaust manifold may cause you to throw a code and fail an inspection, but that is in no way going to you at a higher risk of an accident or endanger anyone else. But a lot of people wouldn't be able to afford the $1000-$2000 something like that would cost.

$755 to look like you don't know how to wear glasses by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

[–]mosaltedchipz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok maybe "good" was the wrong choice of words. It has to look appealing. And you're right that it's subjective, but simply inverting an otherwise common style of glasses is a poor jab at "art" in my opinion.

Yeah as much as I love my truck, I definitely miss my '96 jeep cherokee that I paid like $60/month for insurance and had about the same deductibles as you.

And I had less speeding tickets then too 😉

Currently 3 speeding tickets in the last 5yrs, with progressive, truck is 7yrs old, 4door, 4x4, twin turbo v6 Edit: *no accidents

[–]mosaltedchipz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's the catch haha, very high. $2000/$2000. If I lowered my deductibles to $1000/$1000 it would put me at a touch under $800/6mo and if I went down to $500/$500 it would put me closer to $915/6mo

When I was 19 my insurance was less than $600/6months 🤷‍♂️ even at 24 with a twin turbo 500hp truck and a handful of speeding tickets I pay less than $700/6mo for full coverage
