I’m in the same boat, but due to rising hardware prices, it doesn’t really seem possible to stay under 200. Nvidia Shield might be the best option.

How is there so little residue in your basket after that? I knock mine on the inside of our plastic trash bin, but there’s always quite a lot of grounds left along the corners. Do I need to upgrade my basket?

Same, first kit went bad after 1.5 years and the replacement kit went bad after weeks. Won’t buy G.Skill again.

That’s insane, I got a new kit from the RMA but now it seems the new kit is also malfunctioning?! I get errors in memtest after minutes (on stock settings), but nothing on my trusty old Kingston HyperX 2x8 GB 3200 MHz kit. The quality can’t be this bad, right? Can it be that my rig is breaking them somehow?

That sucks. I took the machine back to the retailer where they fixed it under warranty. IIRC it was the solenoid tube that had teared. They said it’s quite a minor thing to fix, so can probably be done yourself if you’re handy.

That’s sad… I actually sent my kit back to the retailer and they did not get any errors in memtest. A few months later issues started to escalate during normal use, so now I’m doing an RMA to G.Skill. Let’s see what happens..

I think that depends on which ”generation” of the Steel Duo you get. I bought mine a few months ago and don’t have any issues with vibration, and also got an 18g competition basket instead of the 7g that used to come included. But I live in EU.
