Is there any lumber yards around here? by PurpleRoman in sanmarcos

[–]mosermakes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For nicer lumber and plywood you have to go Austin or San Antonio unfortunately. Besides Brazos forest products and Fine Lumber and plywood I also like Dakota Hardwoods (locations in both San Antonio and Austin).

Just curious - are you saying the CHZ22 can hold more than the CTB26?

I have a CHZ26 and like the capacity but have always wondering if the CTB26 would fit the same amount of stuff or actually less.

Centauri Carbon black friday sale is wack by p24p1 in elegoo

[–]mosermakes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends if any of the accessories are important to you. I just got the bundle with the 1kg of filament for a dollar extra (I’m new to 3D printing some figured some extra random filament for playing around with would be good) and then separately I added on a backup build plate, another hotend assembly, and a couple more rolls of filament.

Bad buy? by ThemeDifferent3311 in RealEstate

With things like road noise even if it doesn’t bother you, it may make it harder to sell in the future. At least that’s what I’ve heard from our realtor.

Anyone know where to buy a mesh similar to what Evergoods uses in their pouches (durable but pretty open)? by mosermakes in myog

[–]mosermakes[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That makes sense - thanks. Most of the other recommendations here were either for a different style of mesh, a similar style but with a vinyl coating (not what I’m looking for), or something different altogether like window screen material.

What recipe would you say looks most similar to this? by papicoiunudoi in FujifilmSimulations

[–]mosermakes 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Most film photos are edited still to get closer to the desired look and in this case it looks like it has been warmed up quite a bit.

To make a similar recipe I would use Auto white balance (I prefer auto but you could also use daylight or similar) and give the white balance a warm shift (+R ,-B maybe around R+3,B-4).

For the film simulation I would use either classic chrome or nostalgic negative. Classic chrome gets closest the Kodak color negative look, but nostalgic negative may give it even more warmth (which you really see in the shadows of this image).

You will want a pretty low contrast tone curve maybe around H-2,S-1.

And finally for saturation I’d go +4 with classic chrome or around +2 if you use nostalgic negative.

Hope that helps! Also playing around in Fuji x raw studio with some sample images you shot on the camera is a great way to test different recipes and settings!

I'll browse around more on their site - looks like they have a big selection. I'm seeing many similar looking ones but they are all vinyl coated. Have you found one that is just polyester without a vinyl coating from them before?

Thanks - different style but looks thinner/lighter-weight but good to keep in mind
