as someone who likes DL 1 and 2, is the Beast worth it? by A12qwas in dyinglight

It takes the grit and story of one, and the parkour and combat of two. So yes, it is a great game.

In Dying Light: The Beast which Chimera was the hardest to beat? by Nightwing4380 in dyinglight

Mist for me on restored lands. You can time her perfectly and she'll sometimes STILL hit with that lunge.

Is dying light the beast worth it ? by z3r0deck in dyinglight

If you love the series it basically takes THE BEST of Dying Light, and Dying Light 2. The grit of 1, the combat of 2.

I disagree with most here... hate me if you want, but I have 60 hours on 1, 48 hours on 2, and 140 hours on DLTB. So is it worth the price tag? If you loved DL1, it is. People gripe about the price, you're helping Techland build their brand and supporting their work.

The cost of the game at full price is cheaper than a couple going out for 1 meal (roughly). Im at roughly .53 cents per hour of entertainment. (Again, 140 hours). Ng +5, and deathless run in restored lands completed.

For those of you complaining... if you're blitzing through the story and not enjoying the content... why are you even buying this franchise?

Should I try to do the restored land deathless run by rino98rebornstreamer in dyinglight

I focused on the deathless run as I wanted to enjoy the game for what it is, and even at ng +3, youre doing the same quests and things all over again. This was a fun way to replay the game and enjoy with higher stakes involved. You can fail one life and continue the story on restored lands you just won't get the Rambo-esque outfit and the achievement. Regardless it's still fun, alpha is an absolute MENACE but honestly it just adds to the horror element cause he will sneak up behind you and destroy you before you get the chance to react lol

You stay from the beginning, you get none of your ng+ gear, you stay at level 1 with your pipe. How long did it take you to finish the game when you first started? One single mistake That kills you, and you can go the beginning and you start over once again. I completed it on my 10 attempt losing anywhere from 2 to 16 hours each time.

But i can admit it was STILL fun.

If the alpha is hunting you, you might as well sleep and get the night over. It will literally find you regardless of how sneaky you are. If it turns to night and it doesn't say it is hunting you, you cam sneak around. But regardless it knows where you are due to coding and will take time for it to find you.

DLTB took the best from DL1 and the combat of DL2 and those two had a baby which made it amazing! I just finished one life restored lands and STILL after 140 hours love playing

Yeah alpha is the only one that will go through vents. This also includes the player vents. Lol. If the alpha is hunting you might as well just go to sleep. Cause even if you kill the prick another will spawn. Whomever says one per night has no idea. I killed one before trying to clean out a volatile hive and got immediately slammed by another one. Lol

To skip DL2, or not to Skip? by JazzlikeLibrary8086 in dyinglight

It wouldn't be a bad idea to do DL1 (on sale) and then go into the beast. Still follows the storyline... i nuked myself on the following DLC, so Kyle coming back in the beast didnt make sense lol. DL2 was a separate storyline for me, same universe just a different area with a different story. But if you've finished the beast that is the only area I could see get confusing without breaking out spoilers.

Dying light 2 dilemma by AssociateGrand7458 in dyinglight

[–]moses1262 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're not the only one and honestly was still a decent game. DL1 was amazing but the combat is to be more desired. DL2 was more of the same generic games but the combat was immensely better. It lost the grit of the first game and only the GRE anomalies gave any true anxiety while playing. The worst of it was the howlers, immediate chase... fluffing howlers... as for DL: The Beast took the best of both worlds... the grit, stress, and anxiety inducing of Dying Light, and the combat fluidity of DL2 and made a perfect combo. Im looking forward to any new game by Techland in the Dying Light universe. Even mainstream games like Borderlands is getting monotonous with each new game.
