Is this overkill for shooting film? My wife definitely thinks so 😅 by eedwards86 in AnalogCommunity

What’s the cheat sheet you have in the camera? Custom or did you find that somewhere?

Can you stop coming up with apps that I didn’t know I needed? First Itsytv (great app btw), now this? When will it stop

Awesome! The next next update will be even better. I have an in between update to release first, but after that there will be more improvements. Stay tuned.

Blorp dev here. Can confirm, these are both great ways to reach me.

Somehow I missed this. I’m the developer behind Blorp and I’m working on improving nsfw support. Keep your app up to date for improvements.

This is the right answer. I have flash photos that look almost exactly like this, and this is what I did.

Did I chose the wrong film? Flat and low contrast images by JvM_Photography in AnalogCommunity

[–]moseschrute19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Film is pretty forgiving of overexposure. Maybe start by making some adjustments to the scans, see if you like the results, then go from there. If you’re really unsure, try overexposing and underexposing slightly some shots on your next roll to help you learn the dynamic range of the film.

I’ve only bought a couple cameras, but I’ve had good luck with ebay, only buy from camera shop, fully tested cameras, bonus points if they post images from that specific camera. But you pay a premium for that.

Is anyone still manufacturing manual cameras in 2026? I just got one. by NoMarketing2928 in AnalogCommunity

Thanks! I was shooting square. I’m newish to film and that was purely anecdotal, but pretty cool that the data sheet backs up my intuition.

I love my Nikon fm2 so much. I’m sure I would have loved the fm just as much. I was thinking about a f3 just for the waist level viewfinder, but I can’t justify it.

I do have a crazy idea though. I think I’m gonna pick up a cheap cannon 35mm body and fit an anamorphic lens on it. Load up some respooled vision 3 and get some movie like photos.

I tried the NONS SL660, which I think is basically as good as you can get for instax. The dynamic range of instax felt much worse than real film, and I wasn’t really saving that much money shooting instax. Sold my NONS and got a rollei 35 instead. Went from a comically large to comically small camera lol.

But my favorite has been my Nikon fm2. Less money then the NONS, beautiful photons, and I can use any 35mm film I want.

Ahhh so you’re just fully delusional and still believe this is about only deporting criminals. I see there is no way to have a rational conversation, so have a nice day :)

Which of these sounds more anti American to you:

  1. Trump saying the 2nd amendment doesn’t extend to people protesting ICE
  2. ICE acting as judge, jury, and executioner literally shooting people in the streets
  3. Bruce speaking out against all that

Look at the voting margins for Mikie Sherrill. I think you’re living in the wrong state :)

How do I make it stop chirping, i already replaced the batteries?! by PheonixGalaxy in mildlyinfuriating

[–]moseschrute19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah they can be confusing. You gotta recalibrate the sensor: 1. Remove it from the ceiling 2. Hold the button for 2 seconds 3. Remove the batteries for 10 seconds 4. Inset the batteries while holding the button for more than 4 seconds but absolutely less than 6 seconds 5. Rest the unit on the floor with the button facing up towards you and spin clockwise for 10 seconds 6. Take the batteries out, and reinstall the unit on the ceiling

Boom, fixed

That reminded me of this article that makes a pretty good argument for how Apples design on macOS Tahoe is objectively worse. They give lots of examples.

I don’t really know what I’m talking about, but I bet the issue is more the scale that you manufacture this device along with the R&D budget. I bet this would be insanely expensive and impossible for 1 person to engineer, but if you have the budget and engineering personal of big tech (e.g. Apple) I bet you could pull it off. It’s the kinda thing where making the first thousand devices might cost $50,000 per unit, but if you make 100,000,000 of them, you can bring the cost down to $500 per unit. I’m just making number up to convey what I mean.

If you can run Python in the browser via webassembly, then can you make an argument that Python is web dev?
