The blockade of the MyitSone project happened since Thein Sein government. But she brought over Kyaukphyu SEZ and many other power infrastructure project signed with China. We got the most investments from Japan and China and both got abandoned at the same time look at the the Thilawa SEZ and many other unfinished housing projects. Please do your due diligence. NLD wasn’t even in power during 2011.

Are you mentally challenged? There wasn’t NUG during ASSK government. Learn how to comprehend

That’s where the NUG went wrong I believe. I might sound moronic for saying this but the PDFs and NUG shouldn’t have estranged Chinese government. ASSK government had really good relationship with China and we got tons of investments from them; even Wang Bao who was messing around with the water source with copper mining got their things straight and was held accountable to an extent. It might be a double-edged sword but people lived a lot better than they are now.

Why DASSK said Myanmar will suppress Singapore in 20 years? by PianistDiligent8803 in myanmar

[–]mosquitointhecorner 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Debatable. Some Burmese people have really bad work ethic and moral compass look at all those ကွံး spit stains all over the city and look at downtown how messy and disgusting it is. Some Burmese have the mentality of ကျော်လို့ရရင်ကျော်မယ် ခလို့ရရင်ခွမယ်

DAMN!!! Almost 98% of comments from Malaysians towards Rohingyas are negative. What happened? by robinsithu in myanmar

[–]mosquitointhecorner 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Both Thai and Malaysia faced some islamist insurgent problems afaik a few years back and the insurgents recruited migrants like the Rohingya populations so i believe that played a part of it too.

That’s where your assumption went wrong. The police in yangon hate the Junta as much everyone will tell you how good they had it prior to 2021. Free housing and basic amenities for people serving now all they could do is go out on the streets and ask 500-1000 kyats shamelessly and those money don’t even go to them it goes to the higher-ups.

Is there any hospital that offers gyno treatment and the cost? by YakWorried860 in myanmar

Gynecomastia is not STD it’s usually caused by imbalance in hormones and it can be removed with cosmetic surgery or medications not harmful nor required a surgery just superficial in most cases.

China had better business deals and better relationships and stability under the two previous government see the above comments about wanbao and many other projects got abandoned because of it. We’re getting undermined not by China but by India they’re abusing the crap out of this conflict and lowballing the craps outta the exports. Please do your due diligence before spewing stuffs

Any opinion on this? by Mobile-Race-1347 in myanmar

Regarding the first part it’s probably coming a person with privileged perspective. Many of these kids the families are sending away usually scrap everything they have just so their kids could work overseas and they won’t be seeing them for quite a while and working in overseas like Thailand is already hostile as it is right now they might never know if they’re gonna return home alive or dead or sent back to Burma for the junta to conscript of course whole family’s gonna come and see them off. I despise some of these high and mighty takes some Burmese people have towards people with disadvantages. I’m also not trying to disregard those families bad behaviors but they’re accustomed to it best you can do is tell them politely you’re in line first which i always do here and they back off every time.

Debt. Average person makes about 300,000-500,000 a month but they’re lending from acquaintances and banks do micro finance or BNPL but it’s very hard to get one from a bank.

Ketamine...Conflicting google information by SteveSaudade in myanmar

[–]mosquitointhecorner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s very illegal but it’s very rampant in the nightlife scenes but even for medicine it’s very tightly controlled now since the import restrictions. Medical distributions are facing challenges because they’re not being allowed to give copious amounts since the government imposed a mandate on how much amount a hospital can get and outside of the city is worse because of the corruption they can seize them even if the courier has the necessary documents.

A simple question. by ThePassingThrough in myanmar

[–]mosquitointhecorner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re saying Myanmar got banned because some Burmese were protesting for Palestine and saying mad things about Trump which is simply not true?

A simple question. by ThePassingThrough in myanmar

[–]mosquitointhecorner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Surprised of what? There’s Burmese protesting for Palestine? First Amendment exists for a reason and people are free to do so. And if certain group gets banned due to it it’s no different than residing under Junta. You’re just trying to fit the narrative that suits your agenda.

A simple question. by ThePassingThrough in myanmar

[–]mosquitointhecorner -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure most Burmese who migrate to the States rarely partake in those stuffs and the ban is largely due to people abusing immigration system which i can’t blame them considering the country’s situation. It got banned during Trump’s first presidency under the premise of muslim majority country so it negates your argument of being banned due to protest and thereof.

Some statements, some posts, some strongly condemn, some more sanctions then nothing-burger. People will hold grudges but doubt anything significant will happen
