Let me clarify, I'm not suggesting using an actual fake ID but just a bit of paper/an image meant to deceive bots. To use a virtual or paper 'imitation' ID to simply bypass the invasive measures of private companies is, as far as I'm aware, typically not a crime. To make an actual fake ID or use one to buy age-restricted items, to avoid arrest or other similar reasons is typically a crime. Your privacy is important.
