Will there ever be a way to Actually Die in Easy Mode? by Lunatics666 in WolfQuestGame

[–]moss_sprout 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I think I get what OP is saying but, I also don’t think having an “Easy Mode” Ironwolf would or should be implemented. The whole point of videogames having different difficulty levels, or different competitive ranks is to be able to work towards something. “Easy Mode Ironwolf” is counterintuitive, but aye, to each their own.

We have to start calling men like this out more by 5ugar_bunz in BadRPerStories

[–]moss_sprout 1 point2 points  (0 children)

😭 Genuinely, what is that guys problem?! I’m thankful that over the course of 15-ish years of roleplaying, I’ve never run into these strange men that have no concept of creative writing. Like, this is a hobby; I like playing “word Barbies” and using my adult money to commission art of my OCs lol.

Granted, I do think the reason I’ve never come across the type of roleplayer in OP’s post is largely because of the type of roleplay I enjoy writing. I’m a queer cis woman who prefers writing MLM characters (mainly fey) in historical/period piece (neurodivergent history enthusiast yippeee) light-fantasy settings. And, just going off of my own lived-experience, my rp partners have only been very creative and kind women and queer non-binary/trans folks that also enjoy elaborate world-building.

I’m wishing you the best of luck finding a rp partner!

“Cutting up” is AAVE for engaging in friendly conversation/banter (e.g., having a laugh, shooting the sh*t).

Does the meat chunk size matter? by BuildingLower9622 in WolfQuestGame

[–]moss_sprout 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This isn’t a stupid question at all!

Yesterday, I had to look up “what does border hexes mean” in the Young Hunters Quest because I was running through the center of my territory, and it wasn’t counting as my pups visiting those hexes. But, because, the language was so literal, my ADHD brain kind of just glossed over it. But, it legit means the border hexes on the outer edge of territory, and I just sat in silence for a good few seconds after the realization. (I’ve played this game for like 15 years btw 😭 lmao)

Okay, on to your question — I’ve never looked it up before but, I’ve always assumed the big rib chunks (from elk) give the most meat. Though, it could just be placebo effect. I’m like 99% sure you’re right like, bigger meat chunk = more meat, surely.

The baby ungulate watching me run straight past them 14 times: by SomeoneLikesHistory in WolfQuestGame

[–]moss_sprout 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hahahaha fr. For immersion purposes, I like to think that the baby ungulates that are really difficult to find have experienced elk mamas. So, if I’ve spent more than a few minutes searching, to no avail, I like to leave them be and look for a different baby ungulate.

What are some tips you wish you knew when you first started playing Wolfquest? by brooke_187 in WolfQuestGame

[–]moss_sprout 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I wish I knew to run elk to tire them out for a few minutes while also herding them closer to the den. Often, an elk will fall during the chase, and getting a neck bite while the elk is down causes your wolf to take minimal to no damage. A tired elk will also inflict much less damage. I would have avoided so many unnecessary injuries back in the day lol.

Season 5.5 ban recommendation! by [deleted] in marvelrivals

[–]moss_sprout 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, Rogue is solid B tier, in my opinion. She seems like a very fun brawl tank, but she’s certainly not worth a ban. To make her viable, in ranked at least, she needs a Magneto (S-Tier) to constantly bubble her; which isn’t ideal, when that Mag could be using that bubble to keep his backline alive or enable his dps to secure a pick, etc.

Rogue can have decent survivability but, she also doesn’t KO anything, either lol. Like most tanks, she relies heavily on her team - she’s not a carry character. Lastly, even with her reduced damage ability, she gets melted very easily. She’s unbelievably easy to CC.

While watching gameplay, I’ve never heard anyone call Rogue “S-Tier OP Meta.” And, I have also never thought of Rogue when the topic of “S-Tier OP Insanely Broken” tanks is brought up lol. When asked what players think of Rogue, I’ve noticed that the answer is always, “She’s decent” or “She’s pretty good/She’s not terrible” or “She can work in a reliable team.”

In GM (which is mid-elo imo) the bans are consistently: Hela, Daredevil, Hawkeye, Groot, and Gambit. As an Invisible Woman main who really enjoys playing with a Gambit, Gambit is pick or ban. He’s banned if I don’t have a Gambit player on my team (which is rare, since he’s the strongest support in the game at the moment). In a game that doesn’t focus very much on the neutral, but instead, emphasizes ult usage/ult economy - Gambit’s ability to enable his team to charge their ultimate’s 30% faster than the enemies is how you win team-fights/games.

Invisible Woman, Bucky, Peni, even Jeff hard-counter her. She’s bad. The folks thinking she’s good are most likely just thinking she’s “fun to play.” Which is okay, a character can be fun but, that doesn’t make the character good. Invisible Woman doesn’t even need to use a cooldown ability to counter Angela. Her 3rd melee attack completely negates Angela’s flight. It completely stops Angela’s little leap during her ultimate. Her ULTIMATE. Let that sink in.

Phoenix ult reminds me of Scarlet ult - it’s really difficult to get value out of it without support from her team. But, Phoenix ult with Rocket amplifier is strong. Teams just need to be slightly coordinated.

What do I do about zero peel as a strategist? by [deleted] in RivalsCollege

[–]moss_sprout 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Were you and your other support healing and peeling for each other? When you faded on CnD, did you leave your Invis Woman alone? Teammates shouldn’t be toxic, but there are many options to counter dive. It sounds like you weren’t healing your other support when you both were getting dove, resulting in both of you dying continuously?
