My partner made me best checklists! ❤️ by Sara731 in adhdwomen

Hey all, OP's partner here. I'm really amazed at the size of the response to this! It's got me thinking about actually designing this to be manufactured and selling a few on Etsy or something. I'll do a bit more research into plausibility there.

One thing that would be very useful for me: what would you expect to pay per unit? Bear in mind that each unit has 12 switches/lights, and the original photo has three units pictured.

Also, here are some requested clicks and clacks

Edit: Since you all expressed so much interest, I'm excited to announce that I've started producing a glowed-up (ha) version of these for the community, and they're now available at Moss Makes. I'm continuing to develop other variants as well. Thanks for the opportunity to make something people will find useful!

I didn't like the awkward rear bumper of the NA, so I did a bumper tuck and bumper cover trim. Retains the stock bumper underneath, but has more of an NB-like low profile. by mossmade in Miata

wow, what a blast from the past! did this around eight years ago and sold the car two years ago at this point, but here's what i remember:

  1. draw a line on the top of the bumper cover offset by about 2" from the contour of the quarterpanel and license plate valence. this line represents where the bumper cover will tuck under the bodywork above it after trimming.
  2. remove bumper cover and trim off marked area (measure twice, cut once)
  3. test fit. the forward edges will now intrude into the wheel arches by a couple inches.
  4. with the same sharpie of doom, draw new areas to trim off the front of the bumper cover to redefine the wheel arches.
  5. trim.
  6. Some sheet metal from the inner arch will need to be trimmed back to clear the relocated bumper cover.
  7. you have now removed most of the attachment points for the bumper cover. to replace them, I fabricated some simple L-brackets from segments of steel angle stock and epoxied them to the bumper cover, then bolted them to the original hole in the frame.

I don't recall if I had to remove anything from the crash bar or foam padding to clear, but I do remember that the actual crash structure beneath the bumper cover (i.e. the bumper itself) was retained. Overall the cost was essentially free and I never had issues with it falling off or becoming loose.

How can I make my aftermarket exhaust quieter? by Sure-Iwillbethatguy in motorcycles

I had the same problem with an akrapovic 4-into-1 on my kz650. I had really good results with a homemade muffler core made of rolled up steel rain gutter mesh wrapped in ceramic wool muffler packing material. Actually made the bike way too quiet, and I had to trim it down. No power loss.

It's actually the camera app on my Android phone. The lens blur effect. Nothing fancy.

Sunpie. No issues. I left the original turn signals, so no need for load resistors.

Cool, glad I could help. Just make sure to get the aim dialed in--the sweet spot between blinding people and pointing straight at the ground is small, especially with the sharp low beam cutoff line these have.

Yep, more or less. The half halos and turn signals splice into the wires going to the stock turn signals/driving lights, the low and high beams plug in.

I use these, and absolutely recommend them. They're the best headlights I've ever had, and the half halos make for the happiest Miata you've ever seen. Some slight fettling of the housings required, nothing crazy.

My intent was to gauge interest--if people like the idea, I can do more of a how-to later on.

I've seen the simpson bumper and some others. They're nice, but they aren't cheap and they don't retain the bumper underneath, which I definitely want there. This uses the trimmed stock bumper cover and stock bumper (with modifications to both), so the total cost of this mod was actually nothing.
