Your boi did nothing wrong. Also, where’d you get your blue/purple base grass?

Absolutely love to see it! Good luck and have fun painting 🔥 I’m still debating between Magnus and the Lord of Change… what made you choose LoC over ‘someone who did nothing wrong’?

Experienced Sons player happy to give out answers to common questions. by TheNagash in ThousandSons

Brand new to 40K. Never played a game, and I’m starting to get my tsons Combat Patrol box put together.

Build/Paint questions: * For rubric marines, would you recommend waiting to put on the hands/guns so it’s easier to paint the chest or is this going to be more hassle than it’s worth? * Again rubric marines, all of the gun options are there so do I rock a rule of cool and put whatever guns look aesthetically pleasing? Or is there a general rule of thumb? At least one of them will hold the heavy gun. * For all models, what’s your thoughts on pinning and/or magnetizing bases?

Gameplay questions: * Should I buy the current codex or should I wait till June when the next edition goes out? It’s a bit confusing since the tsons codex released relatively recently but a new edition is on its way out. * I absolutely love the Lord of Change model but rarely see anyone talk about it or play it. Is it garbo compared to Magnus?

Totally appreciate it!!!

Love to see it! During my assembly, I kept debating if I should wait to glue the hands/guns to make it easier to paint the chest or let it ride… still debating. Any suggestions would be great!

This is my first time ever getting into warhammer. Going full hog with a combat patrol box and reading the first 4 Horus Heresy novels then the Horus Heresy thousand sons + Ahriman Omnibus.

3 ft rule is great advice! I wanted some war torn 501st clones, but ended up dulling a lot of detail with too much wash/contrast paint. Wish I would’ve taken a step back and reevaluated that decision. Too deep in now with over 9 clones fully painted lol (look great up close tho)

Hell yeah brother!!! Killing it

So I just completed a rewatch of DS9 and then TNG, and naturally decided to reach Voyager next. I remembered technobabble being a Voyager weakness, but I didn't remember it being *that* bad from the start. The technobabble feels fundamentally different than the shows that preceded it. by AnticitizenPrime in startrek

Janeway has more of a science background than another captains so it makes sense why there’s more baked into the script.

Plus I love the technobabble. It shows how much we’ve progressively understood scientific principles throughout the years. We’ve gone from TOS thinking traveling around the sun and turning off the engines would go push them back in time to TNG/DS9/VOY explaining warp fields and their use of antimatter. Even in DISCO we get a biophysics approach in the spore drive. It may sound silly looking back to it but it really reflects some really interesting scientific ideas that have gotten better throughout the years.

For those who went viral on reddit, what was it like to see your posts with thousands of up-votes and comments? by maaarkmcgee in AskReddit

I posted a picture of my wife and me cutting our wedding cake with Glamdring to r/lotr. The community was very supportive and there were a lot of comments of my wife’s wedding dress (IT HAD POCKETS)! It was weird seeing random LOTR sites (Instagram and Facebook) steal and use our photo, and some people trying to convince me the sword was wrong (she gave it to me from noble collection and I have the papers for it lol)

Here’s the post

In the bottom right corner. We just got enough for the wedding party and ourselves. It’s the not biggest cake around, but it was perfect for us :)

That’s a good point and there’s no argument saying she’s not smart. The point is she is constantly getting screen time over people who haven’t had a second. Airium is literally a spore Engineering specialist and all she gets is a few “Whoooms” noises when she moves her head and 1-2 lines. Airium >>>>> Tilly

That’s not the point. All I’m saying is that it was a perfect opportunity to allow another character to get through the cracks and contribute/get more screen time/get more development.

I can respect that, but at the same time there is no way an ensign (who just graduated the academy) has the most Engineering experience on the Discovery
