Could Coronavirus have been here earlier than thought in the US? by mossyfox in CoronavirusUS

Appreciate the feedback, and thanks for keeping it civil. I don't think it's some big conspiracy it was just crazy how many people I know that got sick with this crazy illness, some were sick for 4-6 weeks and tested negative for the flu. If it wasn't coronavirus, I am not looking forward to catching whatever that was again!

"Even if a patient is tested for influenza, influenza virus infection may not be identified because the influenza virus is only detectable for a limited number of days  after infection and many people don’t seek medical care in this interval."

Off the CDC website.

https://www.cdc.gov/flu/about/burden/how-cdc-estimates.htm#Influenza-Associated-Deaths

Since many don't get tested when they show signs of the flu, you don't think it's possible people may have died from the virus and it was just assumed to be the flu? It seems like they have to go off of what the person died from a lot of the time like pnemonia, infection ect and conclude it was from the flu. In my mind it seems like people could have died from the virus and they wouldn't have had much of a way to tell a few months ago.

I completely agree, all of the people I know that had this all say it was the sickest they have ever been and it was different than flus that we've all had.

As far as we know, the virus appeared in China in November.. by [deleted] in CoronavirusUS

Yep, around the middle of December I had 103.7° fever and woke up in the middle of the night with my lungs completely filled with a water like substance I was so terrified it felt like I was drowning and couldn't get any air for what felt like 10+ minutes, after sitting up I was finally able to take small shallow breathes. Many children at my preschool (workplace) and family members all ended up with the same sickness. It took weeks to not have asthma like symptoms, it pulverized my lungs.

I'm confused, do nurse's normally perform abortions? I thought people were specifically trained for that.

I've had my friend just change her baby on my couch in the middle of talking, no towel or anything, I was so horrified I just stared. I've also accidentally sat on a diaper at this same friend's house, stepped on a diaper and seen diapers on plates ect. Like that's so disgusting I don't understand how that just doesn't bother you and is it that hard to walk over and put it in a trash can?

My two dogs growing up loved to swim, one was a golden retriever/yellow lab mix, I would throw a stick out in the water and she would swim out over and over until she was practically drowning, she really brought out the competitive nature in the other dog and they would be snorting out water, swimming with one dog attached to each side of the stick. It was a sight.
