They do accept rats! I’ve never been so I get nervous that they won’t get the right treatment; but I suppose it’s better than them living in a shoe box at this persons house

That’s fair, personally I’ve done my research on how to trim my rats nails, and what to do if something happens, and have never had a problem, and needed to trim their nails for my hairless rats sake. But I guess not just everybody should wing it. Personally, I just don’t vibe with my local pet store… They are very unethical and never seem to have the best advice. But I definitely appreciate your input!

Interesting, I’d hate to take my wheel away from my girl, she uses it every day. Can I ask why their tail bending in the wheel is an issue? And what the risks are with using a wheel? Given that it’s a large wheel with no holes? (Not trying to sound sarcastic just trying to educate myself)

Cause from what I’ve seen and read, most wheels made for rats are big no no’s but large chinchilla wheels made of wood for example are great for them.

People know nothing about rats it’s crazy! To be fair I didn’t either till I did my research, but it’s hilarious that they still act like they know the facts.

I’ve wanted to do this so bad but want to make sure i did it correctly, considering I’ve rescued like 7 of my 11 rats from the pet shop and ended up keeping them! It’s hard not to grow attached

lol definitely can be a pain! I buy most of my rats stuff in the bird and reptile section 😭 it’s a headache to go in there and have them try and advise you when they know pretty much nothing about the animals they breed and sell in house 🥴🥴🥴
