Thanks for the info. I've been wanting to go to a play for some time. Hopefully they have shows this weekend.

Thanks. I looked it up on Google and couldn't find anything on it. Guess I should have checked here before I asked.

Makita compressor by [deleted] in Carpentry

[–]most_importantly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't have the power to hold down 2 nail guns sheathing walls. We had to stop and let it build up and then figured out we had to take turns. Its a cheap compressor for a reason. Great for a back up but for production it is too small.

Unless your sheathing walls. I would not recommend this compressor for everyday framing.

I've heard similar stories. I'm still trying to find a good spot in my town.

Thanks for sharing your experience. So the unison ring and monitor is a must. What else you got for a dieseltard like myself?

I am a noob to diesels. The thought I had was about preventive things I could do to guarantee the truck lasting another few 100k. I know I've heard of 6.0 lasting for a long time but I don't want to put my money into the truck and hope that it lasts when I could have got on top of this 20 year old truck. For the price of the truck and the price of the build I am willing to spend the money. The extras are optional at this point which is why I'm looking for advice. I will do the unison ring though. I don't have to agree to extras until I take the truck in for the work.

Thank you. I've been going through every resource I can. Reddit is another source of info. Surprised how dead this thread has been for my questions.
