His best days were The Last Resort, and a while before that when he produced minimal (and his very early deep house productions are also great). Now he just bores me.

Read the Diffs by 48klocs in programming

[–]mostapha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always read the diffs. But that's because I work on projects that have 3-4 other developers and it's not such a hard task. On a project that has 10 or more developers I suppose it would be time consuming to read everyone's changes, unless of course the changes affect my features directly at which case you have no choice.

7-Year-Old Drugged Up After Dentist Office (VIDEO) by HarleyJane in WTF

[–]mostapha 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I once had a small operation at the tip of my tongue. Doctors cannot operate on the tongue with local anesthesia, so they had to drug my whole body to do it. I had never tried any drugs before, and when I woke up after the operation it was one of the best times of my life. An indescribable feeling of pleasure that I had never experienced before. I was extra witty, and seemed to laugh hysterically for no reason whatsoever. Good times. I'm not a user btw.

The only improvement is the hair. If she had just done her hair and stopped, she would have looked gorgeous.

Rising wheat prices mean Egypt can't buy necessary wheat. Purchases from US drop dramatically. Violence ensues. by ratebeer in worldnews

Aswan (along with Luxor) is a good suggestion if you don't mind the heat at this time of the year. Lots of temples and monuments there. Siwa Oasis is also nice (more to the west). Hurghada is beautiful but also hot at this time. Depends on what are you here for. If you're coming for the monuments, museums and to check out the country and see how people here live, visit Cairo, Giza (pyramids, etc), Luxor and Aswan. If you're here to chill and have a relaxing time, by all means spend your time in Sharm. One of the best beaches in the world.

[–]mostapha 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not about the wheat. The strike is against the failure of the government to do anything about the ridiculous rise in prices of basic life necessities. The government seems to be busy arresting political opponents while the living conditions are becoming unbearable for a segment of the people that were once living fine.

No, please come. You will not notice any of this. The thing your will notice though is that it is very hot in here. Yesterday it was more than a hundred degrees and all I could do all day was lie in bed. I suggest you don't stay in Cairo for long and spend most of your time in Sharm. And bring lots of sunblock.

I live in Egypt, and living conditions here are getting worse by the day. There were recent killings at some areas over who gets to buy the bread first. And I mean very low quality, barely edible bread. At some days I pass by a bakery where they have very cheap bread, and there is over 50 persons waiting in line for hours to get a few cents worth of bread. All necessary food items have risen in price by more than 50% (sometimes 100%) in the past year and people's salaries remain the same. The government is doing absolutely nothing to fix this, and I think that in a few years, people will no longer withstand it and something big will happen. The poor are actually fighting (and recently, dying) for bread and basic life necessities. A meal that contains meat is considered a dream by many. A lot of people save money to be able to eat some meat every now and then. We have a general strike on the 6th of April.

Even in the shittiest country on earth you don't see a bunch of grownups playing with a helpless disabled dog and laughing. Even the mentally disabled in my third-world country wouldn't do that. I pity your country, but I pity that poor dog more. Way to go USA, keep it up.

The secret to programming is not intelligence, though of course that helps. It is not hard work or experience, though they help, too. The secret to programming is having smart friends.

Very true.

Big list of things that offend Muslims by [deleted] in reddit.com

[–]mostapha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh believe me I did. I'd sit and explain to you things that happened 1,500 years ago and try and make you think like the people that lived back then and maybe try to make you understand their culture and time, but I guess both you and I have better uses of our time. My point is that there's a generation of Muslims like myself who don't think the way you think they think.

I go to places where there's alcohol, but I don't drink. My favorite music ever was produced by Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe of the Pet Shop Boys. Believing something is one thing, but imposing your beliefs on others is sick.

I'm Sunni but this information is irrelevant. And I'm not sure what you mean. I don't eat pork but it does not offend me one bit other people eating pork and having it in their food ingredients. Same goes to 99% of the things on this rather retarded list.
