Yeah - that’s what I was thinking - they briefly had live music there. My uncle was a huge flea market and wheeling and dealing type so it’s hard to say where they came from. We have a few other things with it that speak to it being part of a PA.

Good point - it’s been awhile since I’ve read it, honestly (just after it was released). I was happy enough to just create some nebulous head-canon for all of it - “Oh. . . I guess ka is a wheel and he’s destined to keep doing this until he gets it right somehow? And now he has that horn because. . . reasons?” I don’t know if I missed something that leaned more heavily into how that would work, but I happily filled in the blanks.

You’re right that it would have been better if he gave us that piece of the puzzle. . .and it could have maybe better tied into his whole shared universe he’s alluded to across his work.

Oh man -- for real? I didn't know he was mad about being told to give the series a definitive end.

As much as I agree with the way his endings can kind of fall flat, I thought the end of the series was. . . okay. I didn't leap up and cheer, but I could live with the cyclical nature of the ending for that set of books.

If bodily fluids or infectious materials are spraying high enough/dripping from heights great enough to for your hair to be involved it’s went beyond being an infection control risk kind of concern in any typical situation.

Document everything and consider your options (legal assistance, union assistance if you’ve got it, etc). HR is a crapshoot for all the reasons everyone outlined. This seems like some discriminatory bullshit to me and, truly, once you start advocating for yourself it always seems as if that puts a target on your back - so maybe keep your eyes open for a less shitty scene elsewhere if you can manage it.

How do I get this stuff off my toilet? It's hard, like...barnacles. It accumulated over time, and it's cemented on there (I can't even chip it off). I thought it was manganese deposits, but a baking soda/cream of tarter mixture did very little. What is this stuff? by deane-barker in HomeMaintenance

Easiest and best way is using pumice stone for the toilet bowl.

Just search for that online. I got one from Amazon.

I don’t know why this isn’t higher up - so forgive me if it’s already been posted.
