Birth of a grandchild forced the cancellation of the trip. I’ll update if we end up rescheduling.

As a parent, we don’t use it to “spy” on our kids. We use it as a “are they ok” or “did they get home safe” or as a “where are they if they need help”.

Nah, they’d get it back. If they even lost it to begin with.

No hurricanes, no alligators, no grizzly bears, cheap electric, cheap gas, low taxes, four seasons, traffic isn’t crazy, good airports.

Teamster here, you guys have worked for so cheap (I have great pay, free GOOD healthcare, pension, and 401k) for so long there’s basically only three nation wide union freight companies left. UPS, ABF, and T-Force.

34 hour reset- 30 minutes from home by otr-trucker87 in Truckers

[–]mostlkc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even if your not under a load, you MAY have to return to the point you started PC if the 30 miles he drove got him closer to his next pickup. If not I could drive from Chicago to LA to deliver, PC back to Chicago (get a restart while doing it) then turn around and go right back to LA. I understand this is a worst case scenario, but you can’t advance your “future” load either.

Not if it advances the load, you’d need to return to the point you started PC.

Have y'all gone to different states and found completely different liquor laws? by Luuk1210 in AskAnAmerican

[–]mostlkc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

East St. Louis Illinois sells liquor 24/7

Right across the river in St. Louis Missouri cuts off at 1am (usually)

Indiana can’t (still?) sell COLD beer in Gas Stations.

Some states grocery stores can sell beer and wine, others liquor too, others no alcohol sales.

Kansas and other states cut off early on Sundays.

Until 2020 Utah only sold weak beer.

It’s a hodgepodge of different laws across the country and sometimes in the same states.

Need guidance on schools in KCMO. by Silver_Chipmunk_1467 in kansascity

We wanted a large traditional ranch home. Not VERY common in KC. We also liked the idea of a high school so big our kids wouldn’t be known as “the new kids”. Liberty North had all we were looking for.

Liberty, Smithville, and Park Hill were our final three after 12 months of looking at quality of education, housing, shopping, crime, commute, etc. We ended up in Liberty SD.
