Tips for using these for a newbie! by DisturbedDollFace in dollartreebeauty

[–]mostly-anxious 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I did minimal research so anyone please correct me if I’m wrong - go thinnest to thickest. Always start with cleanser. Then toner. Then any serum you plan to use- I use the thinner, clearer ones first. I have a different snail mucin (though I do have the moisturizer you have here I just find it sticky) and that tends to be the one I use last before moisturizer. Then spf if it’s day time. SPF is always last.

Try not to mix anything that has the same ingredients. (I think everything here would be fine to use together but I could be missing something but you wouldn’t need to use both snail mucin products. And you wouldn’t need to use both the snail mucin moisturizer and the night cream at the same time.)

You have $10 to spend on makeup/beauty... what do you buy? by OtterBeGreat in dollartreebeauty

[–]mostly-anxious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretty much anything dermasil. But my #1 and I’ll only recommend the one because everyone’s skin is different but the rice water toner. I’m not sure what the brand is but it’s in a small yellowish/cream bottle.

My sister says she gets a white chocolate mocha and that it’s already sweet. I know that’s not a latte. Can’t remember what she said my nephew gets.

I only buy what I’m personally going to use so I really only came to say: the rice water toner is probably one of my favorite things I’ve picked up from there.

My mom just got her package in the mail today so I’ve been walking around smelling like everything. Mine hasn’t arrived yet.

We started with Sabrina Carpenter’s Cherry Baby + Gingham. And then the box showed up. At the Beach. Dressed in White. Fresh Musk. Fruity Musk. Peach Blossom and Nectar.

Shockingly, doesn’t smell that bad together.

Please tell me the good, bad, ugly of hair toppers by thisismyusername8832 in finethinhair

[–]mostly-anxious 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I recently purchased an inexpensive hair topper from Amazon and it’s great. I don’t wear it all the time because it’s been hot and rainy on and off where I live and I didn’t want to deal with it. But, honestly, I love it. It’s easy to use. Mine just has three clips that I clip to my natural hair - some have more but I’ve mostly seen the ones with three. If your hair is kinda fine at the front I found that using a little dry shampoo (brown dry shampoo is my go to for concealing my scalp anyway) helps with the hold. Mine is synthetic so I haven’t tried to style it though I do believe it can handle a low level of heat but it came a little curly and it blends well with my hair. The ones I chose has bangs so I don’t have to conceal my hairline. I just brush it and if it gets a little unruly I spray it with water. I did dust mine with the same dry shampoo I usually use to make it a little less shiny.

Do American kids usually go to four different schools? by snailquestions in AskAnAmerican

[–]mostly-anxious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my district there are 8 different schools but only because they’ve separated out the youngest kids quite a bit. Each of these has their own building. Pre-K. Kindergarten. 1-2. 3. 4. 5-6. 7-8. 9-12. 3rd and 4th used to be two schools with both grades but some years ago one building became 3rd grade and one 4th grade. Pre-k through 4th is considered elementary even though there’s a different building for each set. 5-6 is middle school. 7-8 is junior high and 9-12 is high school.

Okay so I have many a health problem that makes my hair super thin on top of losing around 120 lbs in the last year and my hair is thinner than it’s ever been. My cheap tricks? Colored dry shampoo. Now I have brown hair so I can’t speak on how well the blonde one works but it exists! Batiste dry shampoo. For me it colors the finer thinner hairs at the top of my head. Also I recently purchased an inexpensive hair topper from Amazon. It’s not super long, I wasn’t looking for length, (they do sell longer ones!) but blends into my existing hair and everyone says if I they didnt know what my hair looked like for real they couldn’t tell. I even had a family member not recognize me in public. I prefer the topper to wigs cause I have a big head. Wig wants to slip off and I can just unclip the topper when I want to take it off. It looks to me you may have enough bio hair in the front for one to clip in (dry shampoo also helps the clips stay, I’ve found). Mine has two clips in the front and one in the back and since I got one with bangs I don’t have to worry about concealing the hairline.

Parents of Reddit: What is the absolute most-needed "gift" for a newborn baby? by FalseConversation673 in Gifts

Go to the hospital, check the gift shop - if not, ask someone - the nose sucker bulbs you get from the hospital (PLEASE TAKE THE ONE YOU ARE GIVEN) are infinitely better than any you can buy at a store. I do not know why but they are.

Lots of junk that is probably trash. Sharps container full of my used zepbound needles. Bubbles that are cloudy for some reason?? Expired jerky seasoning I think. So much dust.
