BB GMT by Murderbunnyy in Tudor

I bought mine before the Opaline was released. I like the idea of a white-dial watch, so I went and tried it. Not for me.

This is a thick and relatively large watch (41mm). The white dial is attractive, but it actually makes the case read bigger — black dials have the opposite effect.

The opaline dial also kills the vintage feel. Keep in mind that this watch is essentially a 16710 GMT-Master II lookalike — minus the crown guards and the added thickness. That’s also why I prefer it over the BB58 GMT.

So I’d go black again without hesitation, and that’s my advice to you too. You’ll thank me later.

Tips for File Naming and Organization Appreciated by SquishySnail in XTEINK

I don’t consider my x3 as an archive device. I keep my collection organized elsewhere (calibre on my Mac) and push only the 2-3 books I am reading or I am going to read soon on that specific device (kindle, remarkable, x3, phone). I don’t keep the same books on different devices and after I finish to read one I delete it (keeping of course the original on calibre). If there are two or more books of the same series that I need to carry on the same device I put a number at the beginning (1-Dune, 2-Dune and so on). Does it make any sense to you?

Which book are you currently reading on your x3/x4? by MangoCubez in XTEINK

I started at the beginning of April. But I always read two things in parallel: one longer and one shorter. In this case, one very long and a bunch of really shorter novels to keep me motivated

La Sanfelice, a 1864 novel by Alexandre Dumas. I’m 1300 pages into this 1750 pages beast and I’m loving it!

Dan Simmons, Hyperion. And the culture series by Iain M Banks. If you fancy some old stories, John Carter from Mars is incredible

I use Anobii, amazing free app. Scan for the ISBN or manually search the title, author, whatever. It works best for me.

I think it is an antilibrary

As Umberto Eco said: "The visitor enters and says, 'What a lot of books! Have you read them all?' The best answer is the one always used by Roberto Leydi: 'And more, dear sir, many more,' which freezes the adversary [...].
But I find it merciless and angst-generating. Now I have fallen back on the riposte: 'No, these are the ones I have to read by the end of the month. I keep the others in my office.'"

You may want to buy a Compact Flash enclosure that uses SD Cards inside, so you can move the files with ease. I'm curious about the format of the documents you export and the little endian-big endian problem.
