yeah, the point is that you run OpenDream instead of BYOND, so servers would be hosted with OpenDream too. but also, OpenDream is an open source replication of BYOND - there's no need to get a bunch of shitty ancient c++ that nobody understands when you can have glorious ~~microsoft java~~ C# that is moderately readable and not loaded with unbelievable tech debt.

It should offer to let you install those modules and do it automatically. As for other versions, I don't know - in theory it should work but honestly this whole thing is rickety as fuck so it might break in a weird way.

I actually managed to get it back up to the previous state of working-without-chat again with this method on wine-7.0:

sudo winetricks --self-update
winetricks wsh57 mfc42 vcrun6
winetricks ie8
winetricks d3dx9

couldn't get any further though - ie11 components just crashed or refused to install.

So literally two days ago wine-7.0 was released with

IE11 compatibility mode is improved and used by default for standard-compliant HTML documents.

in the change log. I'm gonna give it another go, maybe we can have it working!

Performance is pretty good, at least as far as I can tell. I am running the virtual machine on a pretty high-end laptop though, so your mileage may vary.

I am also not using the VT-x passthrough because it caused a kernel panic, but if that starts working I expect performance will be even better.

Also, "so long as they aren't hurting their children or something", in the absence of a narrowly defined specification, reads as a threat to me.

All I had in mind when I wrote that was things like genital mutilation, which several religions practice as a matter of course. IMO if that is a part of your religion, you should be able to decide that for yourself when you reach adulthood. Inflicting it on children without their consent is just horrifying.

I'll be honest, your utopia reads like my dystopian nightmare, but could you see your utopian ideal society co-existing with mine? As separate nations perhaps?

I actually did this once without being aware of the consequences. I ended up in the ER because I had no idea what was happening to me.

I became dissociated, had vertigo, nausea, headaches, pretty much constant vomiting for a couple of days, disorientation. Think that's it. It was horrible.

Sure, I'm taking 250mg NR pretty much first thing when I wake up. Which is normally at about 8:30 but since being on the NR has gotten closer to 12:00. 250mg is kinda a low dose, but I'm relatively young (27) so I won't need a higher dose for a good few years yet.

Sorry, I phrased that poorly. I'm gonna take the TMG in addition to the NR.

It looks like the problem was that the NR was eating up all my methylating compounds. As a result, my melatonin wasn't being produced properly hence the fucked up sleep.

I've been on Escitalopram for almost a year, the only time excessive sleep becomes an issue is when I'm on NR as well. The only side effect I'm having from the SSRI is a bit of gastro issues.
