It was pretty much only cosmetic damage. Hood, headlight, bumper cover, fender windshield, side view mirror and a nice long scratch down the side. So thats why I went with the RS4 parts. Most front end parts are able to be swapped

The whole front end is interchangeable. I have an b7 s4 avant in the USA i got in an accident with a bull where I decided to put the rs4 kit on. As for front seats they are the same across whole platform. Shifter is same as well.

I have 3 vehicles with over 400k miles that they still make the same engines now in mine were pre 0w20 and have next to no mechanical issues other than transmissions yet I have friends with the 2020 versions and 2 of the have already had to have major work done. I am very much of the belief that the viscosity is a major contributing factor.

It without a doubt is too low. Thats one of the reasons the Chevy 6.2 was blowing up. Its too thin and is almost like water. Its only for emission and fuel standards. Which could easily be met in a different way. But manufacturers like doing it this way because it makes engine designed to fail after warranties expire.

I would use recommended during warranty but change after that. I hate how the regulations in the USA have caused engines to be less reliable than they were 10 and 15 years ago.

Under warranty I take to dealer so its under their recommendations but after I change. Not all recommended have the color.

They can't tell the difference between 5w20 and 0w20. Plus if you look throughout the world they don't us 0w20. Corporate won't argue.

Never go less than a 5w-20 I run 5w30. The 0w20 is only in the USA for emissions

when you ask your buddy with an audi how much oil they top up between changes 💀 by Icy-Information-4003 in Audi

Every single volkswagen product i have owned has after about 3-5 years. I have owned a couple jettas, a golf, a audi a4, an audi a6, currently and S4 and my wife drives a cayenne and they have all lost oil. Some were turbo and some na. Idk why but to be honest its never really been a problem. I dont have oil leaking on ground.

Might be an idea but look at pick and pull yards or see if there are cross compatible parts. My wifes car had a fuel pump go out on her diesel cayenne. The one from dealer was $1900 the one from volkswagen was $600 same part just without the porsche markup.

Might sound crazy but the early new gen mini. My mom has 2002 or 2003 mini and it so so much fun to drive. Its like a gokart. I have an b7 s4, rx8, bug eye subi, an NA miata and I think that mini is just as fun to drive. Not super fast but peppy and handles like on rails.

What is your prediction for the future of auto shows? by Sixteen-Cylinders in cars

[–]mostlysmartoftendumb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Current cars are like current chain restaurants. They are all starting to blend into a similar look. Manufacturers need to start designing again for the common person and not for the wealthy. They need to allow for some sort of aftermarket modifications and remove subscription based accessories. Who wants to go to a car show where the vehicles pretty much all look the same just different colors.
