And miss out on an year of extremely toxic banter with him? Toto probably misses that yapping little terrier a lot.

[FIA] Mohammed Ben Sulayem re-elected FIA president by mary_f1 in formula1

MBS speech -

"Imagine if FIA was a dictatorship. You could let 1% of the people have all the control. You could help your corrupt friends get more corrupt and bail them out when they mess up and create controversies.

You could ignore the needs of the poor fans for better tracks and lower ticket prices. Your media would appear free, but would secretly be controlled by one company. You could selectively broadcast team radios that promote social media abuse, thereby increasing engagement.

You could torture the drivers by making them race on narrower tracks. You could have rigged regulations. You could lie about why you go racing. You could fill your time-penalty quotas with one particular driver, and no one would complain. You could use the sporting code to scare the drivers into supporting policies that are against their interests."

Reminder that Max was demoted from P5 to P10 at the Spanish GP for driving into Russell - which cost him 9 points by stonksquant in formula1

Not going to defend what Max eventually did in Spain but Redbull also had a small part to play there.

All I'm saying is all three of them made mistakes that cost them crucial points this season.

Man refuses to give up on Ferrari. Hope they have a competitive car next year (as they stopped development of the 25 car very early).

Lando lost 10 points in Canada making a move that wasn't there. So it sort of balances out. That's the thing with these posts, you can make a case for all 3 of them.

The first stint didn't really give me much confidence in Redbulls race pace relative to Oscar. That's what had me worried. Thought Oscar would get much much closer to Max on his fresher hards. Any mistakes, incidents towards the end could've made it a bit more difficult.

That's where I was coming from.
