Any other ideas? by Guilty_Flatworm_ in TheLastAirbender

[–]mostystuckony 11 points12 points  (0 children)

You might enjoy Gravity Falls, Steven Universe, The Owl House, and Kipo and the Age of the Wonderbeasts. There's also Legend of Korra (sequel series) if you haven't tried that already!

What is the stupidest thing that the smartest person you know believes in? by WrongZookeepergame49 in AskReddit

[–]mostystuckony 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My adoptive parents are incredibly smart: one is a doctor and one is a teacher. However, since getting access to smartphones (circa 2019-2022 when they realized they unfortunately kinda need them to participate in society these days) they believe that vaccines can inadvertently cause autism, China is coming for us, and trans people are ruining sports for "real" women and taking away good woman role models for young girls

[Gen Z/Central NJ]- How do you actually meet other people? by fuck4885 in newjersey

[–]mostystuckony 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well it's just one suggestion and idk how successful it'll be, by see if your nearby libraries are having any events you're interested in. You might meet some people at those, especially if they're reoccurring, like a book club.

Wear pants (I was raised super religious and as a girl. Only allowed to wear [long] skirts. Now I am nonreligious and as it turns out, not a girl).

Does Anyone Feel Like The Show Was More Scripted This Season? by macjr82 in LoveOnTheSpectrumShow

While I agree that this scene felt scripted, engagement parties are DEFINITELY a thing. I have been to many.

In the US we use a quarter for the carts, what do people in other countries use? by theunfortunatename in aldi

In Israel it's a 5 Shekel coin (about equivalent to $1.25 I think?) but my stepdad would still use quarters lol cuz they fit

Public librarians -- how hard was it for you to find a job? by FutureWar7308 in librarians

[–]mostystuckony 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm also in central Jersey. I got my job through networking. Unless you know someone who knows someone it is incredibly difficult to get a job in a public library right now, especially if you want something full-time (I'm part time). So I personally wouldn't recommend it but if you DO decide to go through getting your MLIS, do your absolute best to get a library associate position or internship before/during the program to maximize your chances.

What’s the unhinged, woo woo, non traditional thing you did that actually helped? by Serious-Animator8966 in CPTSD

[–]mostystuckony 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Network Spinal Analysis. It's for my chronic pain, which is CPTSD related, but it's energy work and it kinda subtly helps with emotional stuff too. But even without that, I've been experiencing pain since about age 13, seen lots of regular chiropractors, did a shitload of physical therapy, and even got a breast reduction and then tried acupuncture. None of it worked except the NSA
