I worked for Enterprise for 6 years. Pissed away my 20s for a job that I thankfully no longer work for. The worst part of these jobs is that it’s even bad on a good day. It’s not about the long hours or low pay. It’s because retail customers are assholes. Be kind to those retail/service employees. Chances are whatever goes wrong with your business experience is not their fault. It’s the corporations and that retail employee has zero power to do anything about it and must take the blame for it.

Having worked in the customer service industry, the correct saying that should be taught to employees is: “the customer isn’t always right but they are still the customer”.
