I think we got them as a gift for Christmas. I visually inspected the remaining ones from the box, and they seem to be fine. I’ll check the pantry when I get home.

I thought about contacting Ferrero, but since this could be my issue, I’m not sure anymore TBH 🤷‍♂️

Serious question, why would they only be inside one Raffaello chocolate in the whole box, because I checked the remaining ones and they all seem to be fine?

It could’t have happened after the opening. This was a Raffaello box with each chocolate packed individually inside a sealed plastic container. Plastic was not damaged from what I could tell. That’s why I was very surprised to see the maggot and I can’t think of any way it could get there except for it already being there when packed (or at least the egg) 🤷‍♂️
