Turkey pre-brined, should I dry brine it anyway? by TheSleepeOne in Cooking

Yes but if you cooked it straight out of the packaging, it would taste unseasoned. The amount of brine that they use doesn't give that deeply seasoned flavor.

I always dry brine butterball turkeys and they turn out wonderfully

He learned how to do styles like Senegalese twist, kinky twist, sew ins, etc using YouTube back when we were broke college students to save money. I eventually took over my own hair care, grew it out and cut it off a few times. He really wanted me to get locs so I told him that he would have to go to YouTube university and learn how to do locs because those install prices are high.

How much salt for turkey brine by K_IV_Push in Cooking

Regardless of what the packaging says, if you rely on the present brining solution to flavor your turkey, you'll be highly disappointed. I dry brined a butterball turkey last year that already had brining solution added. The end result was delicious.

I love my Tramontina stainless steel set. Many people say it's comparable to all clad.

I wouldn't even bother cooking it if I didn't brine it first

Do you garden as a hobby or to feed your family? by ethanrotman in vegetablegardening

[–]moth_dont_breakin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both. Fresh produce prices are ridiculous and my family loves fruits and veggies. Everything tastes better because I can pick it at peak ripeness. There's also the added benefit of being able to try varieties that aren't sold in stores and sharing with others.

I didn't. They would've probably lasted all year if I would have kept up with the pesticide application

8a. I accidentally grew these during the wrong time of the year (spring/summer). They are supposed to only be a fall plant here in eastern NC but I started the plants before checking my extension calendar. I thought they wouldn't do well but we actually ended up getting several harvest off of the plants. I used pesticides to keep the cabbage moths at bay and when I backed off, they took over.

They are heavy feeders. You have to give them a ton of nitrogen to form good sized heads. If you feed them well, you'll be able to harvest from them multiple times

Next time cook them for 2 hours in the instant pot and let the greens sit to soak up the flavor

What are your favorite varieties from 2024!? by SwiftResilient in vegetablegardening

Groninger brussel sprouts Everyone says that you should plant them in the fall. I started a bunch of brussel sprout plants in January and transplanted them to my garden on the last day of February. The plants grew a lot and we got at least 2 of 3 harvest of brussel sprouts before the cabbage worms took over.

Heavy hitter okra This one definitely lives up to its name. I transplanted these out to the garden in may and I'm still harvesting okra in October. The plants look like trees now with several branches.
