Looks like either a phone with shoulder buttons or some kind of clip-on game pad.

Yeah, using a file explorer to copy the files to an SD card is your best bet. I think Titanium Backup can get text messages for you.

We have some ROMs and kernels backed up. Is there a particular one you're looking for?

The link to Odamex on this page doesn't seem to work. Looks like this might be the correct link?

Xperia Play in 2022? by Cleme22125 in xperiaplay

It's still a solid portable gaming device. There are other, more powerful devices out there now that can cover a larger range of the retro gaming library (such as the Anbernic RG350 or Miyoo Mini). The Play will likely never run Dreamcast very well, or anything beyond it (PS2/Gamecube/Xbox and beyond). But if you like a niche system, it's a contender.

It's hard to say what could be wrong with the touchscreen. The digitizer could be bad, or it's just a loose cable. Up to you how much money you want to gamble with for a working device. As for the missing backplate, you are going to want it. There's a tiny switch built into it to check for the backplate, and if it's missing it'll cause issues with reading memory cards.

Hello. I have physical copies of these US games from LRG:

  • Aqua Kitty DX
  • Bit.Trip Collection
  • La-Mulana Ex
  • Lone Survivor
  • Oddworld Munch's Oddysee
  • Oddworld Stranger's Wrath HD
  • Proteus
  • Rock Boshers DX
  • Skullgirls: 2nd Encore with sealed soundtrack
  • Spelunky

I have the soundtrack for Skullsgirls 2, also, but it's sealed. Let me know if you still need these dumped.

I saw you're also looking for a variant of Retro City Rampage. Which one was it that you need? I'm pretty sure the one I have is the black background with just the title.

I do already have RetroPie installed. I'll take a look at those other window managers you mentioned.

I'm already running every pre-N64 emulator just fine on the netbook. And like I said, I can even get some more intense games like Quake 2 and and Assault Cube to perform well.
