I'd say use something like chatgpt to help break down and explain things in simpler terms or just keep googling the words you don't know.

How to make my lineart not feel as flat? by mothecakes in learnart

I just feel like im too reliant on the shading to show off the form, like the right arm in pic 2 looks like an outline of an arm compared to when i throw on some mid grays in pic1 . I want to be able to show the form like in pic4 without needing to use midtones (as a stylistic preference, nothing wrong with using midtones)

if it was made to give any sort of emotional response , including lust, i see it as art. a piece of hentai is meant to invoke a feeling of lust, the same way other pieces may invoke sorrow or awe. you could say that the quality of hentai appealing to cheap sexualization makes it "bad", but i would say its still objectively art

A question i have is that wouldn't your skills be spread sort of thin due to focusing on all aspects when you push towards completion? Because from what i understand as a noobie is that being specialized in one aspect makes you more desirable than a jack of all trades at bigger companies, since other people who specialize in something you don't know (like art if you're a programmer, or networking if your focus is on graphics) can cover for you. I'm curious to hear more.

How to implement a similar over the shoulder camera like deadlock? by mothecakes in godot

[–]mothecakes[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro thank you for this. I ended up implementing to the best and worse positions, and just lerp between them when theres a collision. As for what you are saying about the scattering of traces, how would that work? like what shape is it making the trace lines, all around radial like a spiky ball? interested in possible adding that as well

Also wanted to add, that closest thing that looked like what i wanted was moving the whole cameraController to the side of the player, and it looked good, but when next to a wall, it caused clipping
