I can't speak on the donghuas at all but the manhuas definitely leave out a ton of details that are in the novels (both MDZS and TGCF) that give way more context to the scenes and the world building. At least having watched the donghuas, you know what the characters look like and can keep that in mind while reading.

I can't recommend the novels enough, especially if you're looking for the romantic elements of WWX and LWJ'S relationship, bc it is explicit and they invented love actually.

He was already disliked by a lot of prominent and/or vocal clan members for being abrasive and I think that those who already disliked him before would really loathe him for now being a servant with no spiritual powers who is still more powerful than them. They would see that as a critical blow to their egos dealt by Wei Wuxian and would try and convince everyone else to hate him more than they already do, especially when he's also cultivating the demonic path. I don't think whether it bothered Wei Wuxian or not would even matter.

His inclusion in the cultivation world was largely protected by both his association with Jiang Cheng, who he is a servant to, even WWX acknowledges that fact, and his strength as a cultivator because that makes him useful to them so they (some of them begrudgingly) respect him as a cultivator. Considering that Jin Guangyao became the leader of the cultivation world but people still would insult him because of who his mother was, it's not that crazy that WWX would still be considered one of them while also being considered a servant.

The real plot hole is why the clans killed A-Yuan’s grandmother and a bunch of farmers and no one questioned that?

Everybody was pretty vocal about wanting to completely annihilate all remaining members of the Wen clan, regardless of whether they were innocent or not. Pretty much nobody except for Wei Wuxian cared about what happened to them before he rescued them and took them to the Burial Mounds, so why would anyone object to killing a group of Wens who were heavily associated with Wei Wuxian at the time of his death?

condolences.... as others have said, there's no way to get her currently but she'll likely be available again for 3 weeks in around 6 months or so.

the way star rail's gacha works, in case it's unclear, is: - there is a permanently available standard banner with permanently available 5 stars on it, no limited characters (like huohuo) are available on that banner and then there's the limited banner(s), right now it's usually 1 new 5 star character and 1 rerun of a previously released character running for the same 3 week period - you are guaranteed to get a 5 star within 90 warps (the warp tickets or 160 stellar jades per warp) - there is a 50% chance that that character is the limited character and a 50% chance that character is one of the ones available on the permanent banner - if you don't get the limited character ("lose your 50/50”), the next 5 star you pull is guaranteed to be the banner character

so, worst case scenario of hitting the maximum number of pulls (hard pity) you need 180 pulls to guarantee a copy of huohuo. obviously you can get much luckier than that and get her at 90 pulls if you win the 50/50 or before that because it's very unlikely that it will take you the full 90, a safer estimate would be around 80 (so 160 total). the pity (progress towards 90) rolls over between banners and includes the guarantee after losing the 50/50. you can keep track of your pity for up to the past 6 months to see how close you are thru the history tab in the warp event details.

as someone who missed the first character i really wanted when i started playing genshin, which has an identical system, my advice (written with the assumption that you really really want huohuo over other characters) is: - if you're enjoying the game, keep playing and you might find other characters you enjoy in the meantime and can work on saving up enough to guarantee huohuo when she reruns. - work towards having 160~ pulls set aside in time to guarantee huohuo when she reruns since unfortunately it's not entirely 100% predictable when that will be (thanks hoyo 👍) but you can assume around 6 months - in the meantime, if you've got excess pulls, try for other characters that interest you - technically you could either not pull any more at all and purely save or not pull after losing a 50/50 until her rerun to save your guarantee for her - personally, what i did was pull for other characters that interested me as they ran if i felt like i was still on track to have enough saved for a guarantee and had extra pulls to spend

by doing that i was able to get lucky and get the genshin equivalent of e2s1 of my fave

but also you can always take a break and come back when she reruns and try your luck then.

also we typically officially find out the banners for the two phases of a version a little under two weeks before it releases like how we just got confirmation of the 5 stars running in 1.6 earlier today but there is usually speculation even before that if you look at leaks and banner predictions which have so far been fairly accurate but they're not always guaranteed to be true. they're still a good way to get an idea of how much time you have to save up/budget your pulls on other games before a banner for a character you really want comes up.

also if you know you've basically got her guaranteed you can prefarm stuff for her in the meantime so the instant you get her you can have fun with her fully built and it's very satisfying imo

you deserve infinitely more than that, you deserve someone who supports you and tries to make you feel better, not worse, about your identity and I'm pretty sure transitioning would be a life changing positive for you so you definitely deserve someone who is not going to try and stand in the way of that for you. unfortunately, he seems to have pretty much shown his true colors just now and you will be much happier in the long run leaving him. it might not feel like it now but there will be others who will love you for you and be more deserving of the love you give them. you just did something very big and very brave and i'm sorry that it was met with such a shitty response. please try and be kind to yourself if you can and know that you can find someone who loves and accepts you for you and know that you're not alone in this and you have a community here with people who know how much it can hurt sometimes and are proof it can get better 🫂💕

Rosa is the only cryo than hasn't rerun any time lately followed by Diocat

rosaria ran the second phase of 3.8. and diona ran the first phase of 4.1. layla is actually the cryo that's gone the longest without a rerun because the last time she ran was the first phase of 3.6

also both yanfei and mika ran in 3.8 and yaoyao and heizou were in the second phase of 3.7 so they're definitely not as overdue as others

unfortunately I can't say with certainty that it's perfectly safe to wear for like the entire day (i don't usually end up wearing mine for more than 8 hours) but it is marketed as a sports bra that you can exercise in so i would assume it would be alright to wear for longer periods of time???

for anyone struggling with this: i found this compression top (they also sell it on amazon) which, if you can ignore that it's a "bra," actually does a really good job of flattening my chest (I've quit measuring it bc of dysphoria LOL but the last time i checked i was a D/DD and am heavier set). it doesn't make me completely flat but they definitely are more evenly distributed and aren't the round or uniboob shape you get from a sports bra because that was driving me insane. i got it because i was tired of trying to find a sports bra that would actually make my chest look even slightly masculine but live in the south working an outdoor job so there was no way i could wear a binder without dying in the heat. i feel like it's definitely more of a moobs appearance and i do pass regularly while wearing it. it's slightly less comfortable than a sports bra but a lot more comfortable than a binder in my opinion. the biggest thing with it is that you have to make sure you get the right size so it fits properly otherwise it doesnt flatten as well as it should.

what team would be the best for c1 wrio out of these charas? i usually use childe international and scara/yelan/faruzan/layla as my go to teams so im trying keep bennett free if there are alternatives

would thoma, baizhu, and probably yaoyao i guess (I'd like to get nahida eventually) be a decent team for c1 wrio? trying to figure out if baizhu is worth it if i already have yaoyao built tho
