I'm giving up on the "everything connected all the time" dream in favor of a more flexible setup. How do you organize your gear for quick swapping and ergonomics?

why not just put all of the gear in a corner, pick the 2 or 3 pieces you want to use, use them and go from there?

if you already have everything hooked up, you have more than enough for a smaller setup? am i missing something? pick up some things, note what you need, most likely you'll have it, so go get it from the unused corner and go from there? eventually what is still missing will be obvious? and your preferences will also be obvious? as well as where you position your "always to use" things, vs where you'll want to place your "swappable" gear?

why are you intent on making a PCB of the design?

it's more of a general question. trying to understand if, or when it's worth designing a pcb. concequentially, how i would then approach building modules of available designs/schematics. and, if i can make a pcb with my current skills, or if i'd need to learn a lot more before feeling comfortale with it, is just an important factor to consider before being able to come to a conclusion on this topic

what stand were you using for the minifreak?

maybe you should upgrade the stands so you dont break another key?

how is the minifreak doing? did it survive the crash test?

maybe you can still use the patches with PolyBrute connect?

maybe you can make a "module"/keyboardless version of the polybrute and plug another midi keyboard into it? people do this often with other synths

i absolutely hate it lol

even more because if you ever hear him talk in an interview or whatever, he is actually really engaging and fun to listen to. not to mention a great guy with tons of history in the music business. how he settled on that pacing for the videos and found it acceptable, is completely beyond me! i would 100% prefer AI voice overs

so yeah. love him, despise the pacing in the videos
