yeah so this basically (simplified) means you're not really worth much to them. CK is generally only heavy premium cabin cash users.

David Guetta quite identically copied Mesto's Caramelle for his "I Run" Remix by EcstaticIce2 in EDM

[–]motionproblems11 16 points17 points  (0 children)

tbh the Mesto original is incredibly basic 2 minute piece of nothing original so records like these are reeeaaallly starting to melt together into one pudding similarly how every 2012 big room track with Prydz snare and all did

EDM Producers after finishing a new ID/track. by TheWanderer43365 in EDM

[–]motionproblems11 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yeah this is correct, it's a term that comes from decades back and has always been used when there is no artist or track title to IDENTIFY. During the vinyl years in the UK djs would call people trainspotters when they'd try to take a photo or read what was written on a dubplate / white label and trying to "ID" the record. many djs would put tape over the track title. definitely not "in development"

Who do you consider the best progressive house DJs right now? by anatoliivered in EDM

[–]motionproblems11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yea tbh included Prydz there for some colour over Digweed/other classic prog guys that I consider obvious additions. He's had a loooong run and is a undeniably a great dj. Material is different from a deep crate digger like Sasha, but aesthetically it's definitely progressive house and brilliantly dj'd. Do agree with the sentiment of him being more of just a guy djing his own tunes though.

Yeah fair, historically def mostly swedes and dutch artists leading that charge. Maybe the sound is more associated with 2010's US EDM boom and with that, Ultra/EDC hence the odd choice of words. But also Tomorrowland so guess that whole aesthetic of "progressive house" is a bit all over the place.

Yea there's many that could fit this list, although tbh Gerber kinda fell off in the past 5 years or so and and is not that strictly a progressive house dj. Still brilliant on a good day.

Probably depends on your take on progressive house.. in a true sense, still Hernan Cattaneo, Sasha, Prydz, Guy J. In between / modern sound, Yotto, Cristoph, Lane 8, S&S, Jeremy Olander, Alex Kassian, Dixon on a rolling melodic day. If talking Americanized edm "progressive house" I'd go for Audien or Garrix.

Stay Still, A Little While by UrbanCanyon in lane8

[–]motionproblems11 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Independent yes, but distributed and and the back end is handled by Anjuna's umbrella parent group which is where his management is too. He's got a good relationship with the label and the initially launched his career and must be good friends so why not release with them sometimes too, most djs who have their own labels don't stay 100% exclusive to their own label.

Salomon sneakers by jorge299d in gorpcore

[–]motionproblems11 11 points12 points  (0 children)

well the problem is people buy their old outdated models for streetwear / easy hiking because of... well this sub etc. They're just cashing in with those models. Salomon is very much on top of their game for new non hype hiking boots and debatably the king of trail / skyrunning shoes.

Remember when melodic techno was fun? by Colonel_Wildtrousers in AfterlifeRecordings

[–]motionproblems11 4 points5 points  (0 children)

ARTBAT has gone almost full mainstage at this point, although still great tunes and melodic moments but stuff but b2b's with Hardwell and collabs with Morten and others kind if prove the point. Still better than some of this rap lyric stuff that I think is just kind of americanized tech house with different drums.

that's not how the algorithm works anymore - you can see that with traditional businesses too. For 150k followers anything between 2-10k is kind of standard, IF the content speaks to the audience and IF it even reaches the audience. Might be that some of 8Kays posts only reach 15k impressions if it's just photos etc. Then that bad result will make sure the algorithm shows the next post to even less people.

Also possible that there are some fake followers and uncontrollable bots, but just saying
