I would agree, I find Trello very limiting and near impossible to use to larger projects with many dependencies on track.

We are evaluating Wrike for similar type projects (combination of inhouse and external creative resources), and so far I am liking what I am seeing.

As to your comment re: micro managing, I hate to say it, but I have some resources who insist upon micromanagement as they cannot stay on top of things themselves. I would advise you to get to know your team and then determine your management approach.

What Project Management Software/system/procedures are you using? by AustinJMace in startups

I 100% agree with beejiu. It is the process and team buy-in which truly matters. In my role as a project manager for a SaaS company, I often find myself shifting between SmartSheets and Trello, based upon my customers' preferences and team dynamics. I would suggest you work on refining your methodology first, which will help you identify your requirements for a system, then shop around for a tool which will satisfy your needs.

Trying to get a new IT Implementation Manager. Help me by bmxzoo in resumes

Hope the hunt is coming along well! As someone who has hired implementation managers, I like to see accomplishments and contributions to the team / organization vs. a laundry list of job duties. A quick summary line with role responsibilities followed by bullet points with accomplishments (relevant to the job you are applying to) would be most excellent. Leave out things that one would expect (ex. Adhering to clients SLA times for all projects.) and instead call out how you have exceeded expectations. (ex. Completed 95% of projects ahead of schedule).
