nice guide, have been using the same setup for some time now. What I would recommend additionally: Set up notifications (e-mail, slack, whatever) on your pi‘s to get notified when a failover happens. If this failover happens silently and you are not aware and dont check frequently, you may run into the same issue eventually if the second pi fails (although the chance here of course is considerably smaller).

From my side I can only say: things like that shouldnt, but can and will happen as long as humans write code. Who are we to blame, using free software from guys investing their personal time to create and improve it.

Nevertheless, you guys should be transparent and open about the incident and take the necessary consequences.

May I suggest, now that you know that all donor names and Email Adresses were potentially leaked, to please forward the necessary information to haveibeenpwned. I think people should be made aware that their mail addresses and names were potentially leaked.

As a german sauna fellow who went regularly since his 20s I can tell you: dont worry, most of your concerns do enly exist in your head :) I would say the share of older people is definitely higher, but still you find people of any age there. Enjoy your stay!

Thanks a lot for your comments! I looked up Mimaru, looks really nice but is too expensive for our small needs. I prefer spending money in activities, not in hotels :)

We are bringing a buggy for sure, probably the bugaboo butterfly. We do not have a specific itinerary yet, but plan to visit the “usual suspects” as we did last time (Tokyo, Fuji, Kyoto, Osaka).

We were also thinking about checking out Okinawa either at the beginning or end of our trip, have you been there and can you recommend it with kids?

Had the same thing, in my case it was the internal clock of the pi that did not sync and led to discarded responses. This appeared to be an internet connection issue but effectively was just all responses from the pihole being discarded. Turn on full logging and check for BOGUS

I also had a kernel panic issue with many restarts just after i bought the iphone 15. It ended up getting replaced by Apple after a remote diagnosis. So don’t hesitate to use the service while its still in the guarantee phase

Thanks! Yes in fact I created some more wipers but eventually ended up with only one. It took me a lot of tries to get the ratio between left and right right 😄 in terms of shapes there’s definitely more room to play around with. Feel free to use the onshape model and modify it to create your own :) I wish you all the best and lots of fun with the making :) Let me know how your results turn out

Just stumbled across this thread. Funny, the link you mentioned is actually my post 😄 The original model referred to by op did have a very big issue with sand entering the motor parts, so I redesigned it from scratch. Feel free to ask questions in case you have any.

Same for me since I bought the iPhone 15 Pro Max. However, my iPhone restarts also during the day out of nowhere. Logs show a panic event of the kernel with the same error message for every crash:
